By the end of the ride, our urban kids were thrilled to feel like real cowboys and didn't want it to end. The dinner was enjoyable as well, with most opting for the well-cooked steak, while a few kids chose chicken. Unfortunately, there was an issue with dessert that cast a shadow on an otherwise fantastic evening. We were the last to go through the cookout line and found only three servings of cobbler remaining for our group of ten, which included four young children. When I raised the concern with the staff, they simply shrugged and mentioned that someone must have taken extra. There was no apology, no efforts to rectify the situation, nor even acknowledgment of the issue. This wasn’t merely about the dessert; it was about the lack of accountability. For a premium trail ride and dinner costing nearly $2,000, guests shouldn't have to explain to disappointed kids why they missed out on dessert. A small gesture or some concern could have easily addressed the situation. Instead, it felt like we were left to handle it ourselves.
