• This significant monument showcases the glory of the Qutub Shahi Dynasty. It is a large square structure standing 56m (183.72ft) tall and 30m (98.42ft) wide, constructed entirely from granite and lime mortar. There are four minarets, one at each corner, which are integrated into the main building and soar to a height of 56m (183.72 ft), each featuring a double balcony. While appearing robust and substantial from afar, up close it reveals an elegant and romantic structure that highlights its architectural significance in detail and grace. • The lake spans an area of 5.7 square km and features an 18m high monolithic statue of Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, which stands on an island in the center of the lake. • Located on the southern bank of the Musi river at Darushifa, an art museum houses a diverse collection of sculptures, paintings, carvings, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metal artifacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture from Japan, China, Burma, Nepal, India, Persia, Egypt, Europe, and North America. The Salarjung Museum is the third largest museum in India and is known for having the largest single-owner collection of antiques globally. It is celebrated across India for its valuable hold of items from various civilizations dating back to the 1st century. The former Prime Minister of the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad dedicated a significant part of his income over 35 years to assemble this priceless collection as part of his life's work. It is believed by some that the current collection only represents half of the original antique wealth amassed by Salar Jung III. The museum is closed on Fridays. • Once the focal point of Hyderabad, Chowmahalla Palace served as the seat for the Asaf Jahi dynasty, where the Nizams hosted their official guests and royal visitors. Built over 200 years ago, Chowmahalla is acclaimed for its distinctive style and sophistication. An amalgamation of various architectural styles and influences, the palace complex has undergone careful restoration. It consists of several courtyards, a clock tower, a council hall, and an ornate and expansive Darbar Hall that catered to over 7,000 attendees. The palace is closed on Fridays. • Known as the oldest and largest mosque in the city, construction of the mosque began in 1617 under the direction of Mir Faizullah Baig and Rangiah Choudhary, with Mughal emperor Aurangzeb finishing the building in 1694. It took a total of 77 years to create the impressive structure we observe today. • An 18m high monolithic statue of Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, stands on an island in the center of the vast Hussain Sagar Lake.
