Charminar

Charminar is a 16th-century granite monument built to commemorate the founding of Hyderabad, standing as a symbol of the city’s rich heritage. Its four grand arches each span 11 metres, and the mosque situated on the top adds to the distinctive silhouette that dominates the skyline of the old city. Visit early in the morning to experience the surrounding market come to life with street vendors selling everything from bangles to biryani. Nearby, the Mecca Masjid and the vibrant Laad Bazaar offer additional glimpses into the local culture and craftsmanship. The area can be quite congested, so expect a bustling atmosphere.
