Hussain Sagar Lake

Hussain Sagar Lake is a large artificial lake constructed in the 16th century, notable for the 18-metre tall statue of Buddha that rises from its waters on an island. The lake spans approximately 5.7 square kilometres and was built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah to facilitate irrigation and water supply. Take a leisurely stroll along the necklace road that surrounds the lake, especially in the early morning or late afternoon when the light reflects beautifully on the water.
