Half-day early morning birdwatching, full-day wildlife tour, or evening stargazing — explore Colorado's diverse wildlife in one of three tailored experiences.
Rocky Mountain National Park offers a range of wildlife tours. The Early Bird half-day tour begins at dawn, perfect for birdwatching enthusiasts who want to catch the early morning songs of nature. This tour is ideal for those with limited time who still want to experience the park's wildlife.
For a more in-depth exploration, consider the Golden Eagle full-day private tour, known for its comprehensive coverage of the park's various habitats, providing ample opportunity to see a wide array of wildlife. Finally, the Night Owl tour brings a unique perspective, starting in the afternoon and culminating in a sunset and stargazing experience from over 12,000 feet, offering views of breathtaking stars not easily seen elsewhere.

Chadd was excellent to collaborate with. Even when we faced a last-minute transportation challenge, he was very accommodating. Our experience was outstanding, as we spotted numerous animals: elk, big horn sheep, mule deer, grouse, ducks, yellow-bellied marmot, and pika. Chadd ensured we had the best views possible and demonstrated impressive knowledge about the park, its history, and the best spots for animal sightings. I would certainly choose to book with him again.
Chad proved to be an excellent guide. We observed numerous animals and he demonstrated impressive knowledge about the park and the best spots for sightings. I would definitely recommend this experience.
Chadd was an exceptional guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and a great wildlife spotter. He was flexible and ensured the trip was tailored to our interests. We saw so much, yet never felt hurried. This experience was worth every penny, and I would gladly do it again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time! Chadd was very personable and friendly. He took our preferences into account and provided an excellent experience, expertly guiding us to where the wildlife could be found. Highly recommend!
We had an incredible time on Chad’s wildlife tour. I highly recommend it for families, couples, or any groups. I celebrated my birthday with my husband on July 26, 2025, and it was so much fun! Chad ensured we encountered various wildlife and was upfront about the uncertainty of seeing animals. He was not only friendly but also exceptionally knowledgeable about the mountains, trails, and any questions we had. I experienced altitude sickness during the tour, but Chad was a tremendous help and still wrapped up our experience positively. We will absolutely join this tour again!
I highly recommend Chad as a guide. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and provided a lot of information. I truly enjoyed the tour.
Chad possesses extensive knowledge about wildlife and the various engaging activities on his tour. His passion for nature is evident. When we paused for elk and their calves to cross the road, someone began honking, and Chad kindly requested that they refrain from startling the animals. When the honking continued, he calmly stated that he would reach out to an official if it didn’t stop, which effectively ended the disturbance. I noticed they left a one-star review, but they were not part of our group, so I wouldn’t take that seriously. Overall, this experience will not let you down.
Chadd proved to be an outstanding guide, showcasing extensive knowledge about wildlife in general and the specific fauna of Rocky Mountain National Park. He was friendly and an adept driver, making the experience of observing RMNP wildlife an unforgettable highlight.
This tour was truly exceptional. Our guide, Chadd, was incredibly knowledgeable about the park and its wildlife. He allowed plenty of time for us to view the animals and explore Bear Lake at our own pace. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of Rocky Mountain Park. Chadd was friendly, making the experience feel like an outing with an informed friend. I strongly recommend this tour and guide; you will not regret booking it.
Our tour was disappointing, lasting only 3 hours instead of the promised 4 due to weather, and at a cost of $400. We encountered very few animals and had no alternatives offered. The guide, who mentioned he had been working daily this season, seemed burned out and could have provided more insights about the park, wildlife, and birds. As two older ladies, we felt our age may have contributed to the lack of engagement.
