Reviews
I chose this beach resort during our cruise stop in Costa Maya. The taxi fare was $5 per person each way, and the friendly staff welcomed us and helped us find lounge chairs. Although we could select our location, the resort was quite small, squeezed between two other businesses. The beach was tidy, but the water appeared murky and dirty. The swimming area was limited, situated next to a dive shop with boats anchored very close. There were also motorboats passing by, creating waves and a noticeable gasoline smell, which felt unsafe. Additionally, there was an unpleasant sewage-like odor affecting the area. While the drinks were enjoyable, the food was just average, and bar service was inconsistent. I likely won't visit again.
Yaya Beach Club provided us with an outstanding experience. From our arrival, just a brief journey from the pier, everything was enjoyable and relaxing. The staff were warm and attentive, always available when needed but never imposing. A special mention goes to the manager, Markam, who made us feel like VIPs throughout our visit. She was friendly, professional, and ensured every detail was perfect. We found the beds to be very comfortable, allowing us to relax while the kids had a great time playing in the ocean and the club area. It’s truly a family-friendly destination. Another highlight was the food, which was fresh, flavorful, and attractively presented. Everything we ordered, from appetizers to drinks, was delightful. Yaya Beach Club is indeed a hidden treasure—tranquil, picturesque, and well-managed. We look forward to returning on our next visit to the area.
The service was outstanding, and the beach provided a really relaxing atmosphere. The only downside was the vendors passing by trying to sell items and the boats that were anchored in the surf in front of us.
The beach club itself is quite attractive, with great drinks and friendly staff. However, the state of the sea was disastrous, with a strong sulfur smell and abundant algae. The online images do not match the reality at all. I understand that nature can be unpredictable, but when I book a club, I expect a pleasant ocean experience. Unfortunately, this turned out to be an overpriced visit.
I had an enjoyable experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, even assisting me with a broken sandal. The food was fantastic, and my drink was always filled. The beach is small, typical for Costa Maya, but I would certainly return. Just a heads up about the exit from the port area; it can be cumbersome, though this has nothing to do with YaYa.
The beach, location, chairs, staff, and amenities were all excellent with no issues; however, the drinks were disappointing. My Pina Colada was tasteless, and I couldn’t identify the alcohol. After mentioning it to my waiter Gregorio, he offered me another, but it was just as bad. My friend opted for beer, which I don't drink. The snacks were a bowl of tortilla chips and guacamole, which were enjoyable. I would return, but I wouldn't order drinks.
I strongly recommend this beach club. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the entire facility is kept immaculate.
The beach is beautiful and well-maintained. The staff is attentive, making for a pleasant experience. I plan to return. The only downside was the numerous vendors, although I did purchase a few things.
Yaya Beach Club was an excellent choice for a relaxing afternoon during our cruise stop. While it required a bit of a walk from the port, or a $5 taxi ride per person, the experience was well worth it. We appreciated the unlimited food and drinks, and the beach was much less crowded compared to the adjacent one, even during a busy spring break. There was plenty of activity, including vendors, live performances, and a guy with an iguana that my kids really enjoyed. The only drawback was the considerable boat traffic in the water. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Marlene did a fantastic job looking after our group of 13, ensuring kids had smoothies and adults enjoyed their drinks, while also making sure everyone was well-fed.
The beach club was lovely; we secured a chair early and were able to keep it for the entire day. The wristband allowed us to leave and come back whenever we wanted.
