02On this tour visit a Natural History museum that is more than a century old. It was established in 1902 by Horace Archibald Gass, the then Conservator of Forests in Coimbatore. Today the museum is a part of the Tamil Nadu Forest Academy and has over 4,000 exhibits that cover various aspects of forestry and range from insects and animals to timber and non-timber items produced from forests. 03Visit the Gedee Car Museum in Coimbatore. The museum has a display of over 70 vintage automobiles that showcase the evolutionary trends of the automobile industry. The museum was founded by G.D. Naidu, an industrialist and philanthropist, who is also referred to as the Edison of India. Great care has been taken in displaying the automobiles so that the visitor gets an idea of the technological innovations that have taken place over the years as well as the people behind them.
