Al Ain Zoo
Al Ain, United Arab Emirates

Al Ain Zoo is a sprawling wildlife reserve that spans over 400 hectares, established in 1969 and one of the largest in the UAE. The zoo is home to more than 4,000 animals, including Arabian oryx, African elephants, and a variety of birds. It features spacious exhibits that recreate natural habitats, providing a thoughtful environment for both animals and visitors.
Plan to spend a few hours exploring the various sections, including the children's zoo and the night safari, which offers a unique perspective on nocturnal wildlife. Best visited in the cooler months, it is located near the city centre and close to other attractions like the Al Ain Oasis and Al Jahili Fort. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes for walking.
