3"The first stop on the itinerary is the Arch of Charents - monument-viewpoint of the Biblical Mt.Ararat. Next, the Pagan Temple of Garni - only standing Hellenistic pagan temple in the Caucasus Region, dating back to the first century AD - built as a temple to the sun god Mihr (Mithra). Geghard Monastery is part of the UNESCO world Heritage sights together with the Upper Azat Valley. Lake Sevan, second largest high-altitude fresh water lake in the world. Its sole major island (now a peninsula) is home to a medieval monastery providing panoramic views of the whole lake and surrounding mountains. Sevanavank Monastery was built in 9th century and houses one of the 4 remaining Amenaprkich Khachkars. The Monastery is woven into many important historic events and important battles. Dilijan also known as little Switzerland is a small town in the north surrounded by forests and mountains.
4The first destination of our trip is one of the must see places in Armenia - Khor Virap. The next stop will be Monastery Noravank, which dates back to XIII—XIV centuries. After visiting these two monastries we will leave for Goris for overnight. After the breakfast we will visit Karahunj Observatory, also known as Zorats Karer or Zorats Kar is a megalithic composition of Bronze Age tombs and over 220 standing stones. The next destination is another famous monument of medieval Armenian architecture - Tatev Monastery, which was built in the 9th-13th centuries. In translation from the old Armenian (grabar) "tatev" means "give wings". Thanks to the construction of the Wings of Tatev, the longest cable car in the world (5.7 km), the complex has become one of the most visited places in Armenia. On our way back to Yerevan we will have a short stop in Areni winery, where you have an opportunity to taste armenian wine and get acquainted with the history of wine making in Armenia.

6On this 10-11-hour tour you will start by visiting Tsaghkadzor, translated as "valley of flowers" and situated on the slope of the mountain. Moving on, see Kecharis monastery complex in Tsaghkadzor. It is one of the most famous spiritual and cultural centers of medieval Armenia. Ride the ropeway before leading to Lake Sevan. After having rest on the lake, visit Sevanavank monastery on the Peninsula and admire the great view to the lake. Next you will visit Dilijan, which is usually called Armenian Switzerland for its fantastic natural forests. The town is a part of Dilijan National Park. The next stop is Haghartsin, a 10th century monastery which has been recently renovated by donation of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, who was impressed by the monastery when visited it. Finally see Goshavank, another monastery surrounded by green territories. It also houses one of the world's finest examples of a "Khachkar" (Armenian cross-stone).
7Begin at Khor Virap Monastery, where breathtaking views of Mount Ararat set the tone for a spiritual journey. Continue to Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church and considered the world’s oldest state-built Christian cathedral. Visit the elegant Saint Hripsime Church, a masterpiece of classical Armenian architecture dedicated to Saint Hripsime. Explore the majestic ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral, a remarkable 7th-century circular cathedral once known as the “dwelling place of angels.” Together, these sacred sites form a UNESCO World Heritage treasure, showcasing Armenia’s rich Christian legacy.
