I participated in this tour on back-to-back nights. Luke, our driver and aurora expert, was an exceptional guide. We stopped 3-5 times in locations near Yellowknife to view the auroras, which are influenced by solar activity, moonlight, and cloud cover. Luke was engaging and patient, utilizing technology and communicating with other hunters to identify the best spots for sightings. He ensured that everyone had the opportunity to take photos. We enjoyed hot chocolate and snacks. It was a great experience that I would highly recommend.
The tour was fantastic. Luke was wonderful, providing clear communication about the hotel pickup time. The bus was comfortable and offered great value compared to similar tours. Luke took us to excellent spots for viewing the aurora and captured beautiful photos for us. The atmosphere was relaxed, allowing us to get on and off the bus frequently to warm up. We had our two kids with us; our 8-year-old napped some, while our 11-year-old enjoyed the experience. The hot chocolate was a nice addition. We had booked two consecutive days with Luke, and we were pleased we did, especially since the second night was truly spectacular. Thank you, Luke, for an amazing experience!
Luke was an excellent guide during the aurora hunting tour. He picked us up on time and shared his extensive knowledge about the best spots to see the lights, even making detours to enhance our experience. He also took photos for us and provided them right after the tour. I highly recommend this experience and I'm curious about his hot chocolate recipe!
Luke was incredibly enthusiastic, friendly, and warm, quickly learning everyone's names. He was also very responsible and responsive, which eased any worries about our location. The bus was comfortable, and the hot chocolate was the best I've ever had. Although the aurora was a bit faint initially, he set our expectations honestly. We decided to go again the next day, and thanks to Luke's efforts to accommodate us, we had an unforgettable experience. The northern lights were stunning, and Luke captured amazing photos of us. My child and I can't stop talking about this tour. I highly recommend it!
Seeing the aurora on our first try was incredible. Our guide, Luke, was extremely helpful and patient, and he clearly had a deep understanding of the science behind the northern lights.
Searching for the Aurora requires patience and warmth. Our guide Luke was kind and knowledgeable, taking us to the right locations. Initially, I felt let down, but the final destination was breathtaking, with the night sky illuminated in green and red hues. It's important to note that without a camera, the colors appear only as white, cloud-like shapes that evolve before revealing vibrant colors. The best viewing hours are between 10pm and 2am, so dress warmly, especially your feet, as you will be standing on frozen lakes. Running shoes are inadequate for this. Hot chocolate and snacks were provided, and hotel pick-up and drop-off were included in the experience. This was truly a one-of-a-kind adventure.
The experience matched the description perfectly. Despite the cloudy conditions that night, our guide and driver, Luke, was excellent. We witnessed the auroras and enjoyed some hot chocolate afterwards. I highly recommend this activity.
The departure time was well-timed for the sunset in April. With the lake still frozen, we traversed the ice road to view the Northern Lights. Our tour included three stops before returning to the hotel. The guide was incredibly friendly, took photos, and provided cocoa. We felt warm and cozy in the vehicle throughout the trip.
The tour was quite enjoyable. I witnessed the northern lights, and the guide was very friendly. Although it was originally planned for a bus, we ended up in a minivan since there were only four participants, which I actually appreciated as it allowed for a more intimate experience.
This was an extraordinary experience. It felt personalized and genuine, and I highly recommend it. Everything went smoothly, and the support from the team and our guide Luke made us feel very welcomed.
