    3. Polar bear viewing from Churchill — Tundra Buggy and town exploration

    4.8· 59 reviews· 6 days

Five days, hotel-based, with full-day Tundra Buggy excursions and time in Churchill to explore shops and local cuisine.

Seeing polar bears in Churchill, Canada, is best done through this tour. The entire experience is meticulously organized and suitable for all ages and skill levels. Meals at local restaurants may not be extravagant, but they are quite good. Accommodations in Winnipeg and Churchill are clean and adequate, without being extravagant. The tundra buggy rides are exceptional; we observed over 12 bears daily, including a mother with her cubs and some sparring males. The buggy is cozy and roomy, equipped with many viewing windows and an outdoor deck. Food and drinks are accessible on board, along with restroom facilities. The town tours provide insightful information about local culture, history, and wildlife. The dog sledding was a unique and enjoyable experience, even if brief. We were fortunate to witness the Aurora on our second night. Our guide was excellent, keeping us updated about the aurora and sharing knowledge about the animals and history of the tundra. FN was a wonderful operator, ensuring everything was efficiently planned and executed. If you're looking to see polar bears, this is the way to do it.Somecomments
