My experience with Aurora Tour was truly special. The pricing was fair, and the trip was comfortable. I would love to join again someday. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
The staff at Arctic Range provided an outstanding experience. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and delivered excellent service from the moment they picked us up at the airport throughout all activities. Their Aurora Center is a fantastic spot to await the lights, offering drinks and snacks in the cabin, roasting marshmallows in teepees, and relaxing in the Yurt. Although seeing the Aurora isn’t guaranteed, they consistently prioritize customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this experience.
We participated in a three-night, four-day tour with Arctic Range and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. Although we only witnessed the Northern Lights on one night due to cloudy weather on the other two, the trip was still incredibly memorable. The Arctic Range office team was very accommodating in adjusting our itinerary when we opted for two extra activities: dog sledding and snowmobiling, both of which were definitely worthwhile. The field team that led our tours was exceptionally friendly, professional, and eager to help, showcasing the diverse backgrounds of Whitehorse visitors. We were also pleased with our “Arctic Winter” clothing rental which kept us warm with just a couple of light and mid-weight layers underneath their parkas and pants. I would certainly consider booking this tour again.
My experience was incredible! There were numerous tour options available throughout the day, and the Aurora viewing each evening was truly enchanting. I will cherish these memories and I definitely plan to return.
It was a great experience overall. The tour covers all transportation and offers a clothing rental option for those who may not dress warmly enough. The guides were knowledgeable and accommodating. I was fortunate to witness the auroras!
We joined a 4-day tour with 3 nights dedicated to viewing the Aurora. We managed to see the lights on 2 occasions. Although the Aurora wasn't as vibrant as I had hoped, it was still enchanting. We captured decent photos with our iPhone. The highlight of the trip was definitely the staff; they were engaging and made our experience enjoyable. A special shoutout to Maya, Kim, and Sho-san.
This company goes above and beyond to ensure a remarkable experience. Although they can't control the weather, they entertain you with talks in teepees and roasting marshmallows while waiting for the skies to light up. During our four days, every staff member was helpful, friendly, and enjoyable. We regretted not having cash to tip them, as they truly deserved it. The entire trip was well-managed, from airport transfers to customizing your experience. Our flight times kept changing, but they stayed informed, and all transfers were smooth. We rented extra insulated clothing, which turned out unnecessary due to the unexpectedly warm weather, but it was wise to be prepared—being underdressed would be quite uncomfortable. On viewing nights, you could join as few as 8 people in January or a larger group of 100 during peak season. Regardless of the size, they split groups into small language-specific shuttles, each with a tour guide/driver. They make you feel welcome and ensure you capture great photos, provided the sun cooperates. The presence of multiple yurts and teepees prevents crowding, plus tripods are available for use, with guides assisting with camera settings for the best shots. There are even heated outhouses so you won’t freeze when nature calls, although the pit’s updraft is certainly a wake-up call. Some have noted staff accents; indeed, most guides come from various countries, needing to be multilingual to connect with international visitors. We had no difficulty understanding them and enjoyed sharing travel stories. Having guides from different backgrounds enhanced our tour experience. We used an online NOAA experimental tool to check Aurora predictions, and even if the chances seemed bleak, spending at least one night marshmallow roasting in the teepees, savoring the silence, stargazing, and listening to diverse travelers’ tales was worthwhile. We loved the experience and highly recommend it. Best of luck with your Aurora viewing.
The Arctic Range tour guides provided an exceptional experience. They were primarily foreign nationals on short-term work visas, speaking multiple languages, and were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about local attractions. Their presence made the tour worthwhile, even when the first two nights were cloudy and snowy. The third night, however, featured a breathtaking aurora display that amazed everyone, including the guides. This tour is highly recommended, whether or not the auroras are visible. Hats off to Arctic Range tours and the Canada/Yukon governments for backing the visa program for these talented guides. It is hoped that many will choose to stay in Canada and continue contributing to its future.
Our experience with the 4-day, 3-night Aurora viewing package, which included a city tour, wildlife preserve visits, and Eclipse Spa, was unforgettable. The booking process was smooth, with prompt responses to our inquiries. The tours were excellent and the Aurora viewing truly breathtaking. The bus rides were both safe and comfortable, and our guides, Lawrence, Maya, and Sunje (I hope I spelled that right), were entertaining and knowledgeable.
This was an incredible experience. The guides were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and having our days planned in advance was a relief. The winter clothes we rented kept us warm, and the yurts provided a cozy place to wait for the aurora. We were fortunate to witness a spectacular display on our second night, which was so breathtaking that we decided not to go out on the final night, knowing it couldn't be matched. It truly was one of the most beautiful nights we've ever had. A tip: if you're considering getting a new phone, do it before you go. My older iPhone took decent photos, but others captured stunning, National Geographic-quality shots with their newer devices.
