• You will be greeted at Lake Pichola’s banks. After that, a boat will take you to Jag Mandir Palace, located on an island in the lake. The boat trip across the calm waters of Lake Pichola with the sunset as a backdrop is noteworthy. Lake Pichola is a man-made freshwater lake created in 1362. It is part of the interconnected lakes established in Udaipur throughout history. From the lake, there are expansive views of the palaces and historic mansions lining the shore. • This palace, with three stories, is positioned in the center of Lake Pichola. Constructed in the 17th century, its building process was finalized under the rule of three Maharanas. The Mughal Emperor Shahjahan sought refuge here between 1623 and 1624 during a conflict with his father, Emperor Jahangir. The structure is built from marble and yellow sandstone, featuring a grand entrance adorned with four elephant statues. Currently, the palace has been transformed into a hotel. Take time to explore the rooms of the palace before returning to the shore by boat.
