What's the itinerary?+
• In the morning, you will be collected from your hotel and transported to the summit of Shankaracharya Hill situated in the Zabarwan mountains. This location provides a remarkable view from the highest elevation in Srinagar. At the summit, there is a temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva, which dates back to the 2nd century B.C. It has been named in honor of the sage Adi Shankara, who achieved enlightenment here in 750 A.D. • Following that, you will visit the impressive Mughal Gardens overlooking Dal Lake. These gardens are part of the intricate layouts created by Mughal Emperors over time. Featuring distinctive terraces and a central fountain channel, these gardens are often regarded as being nearly heavenly. You will explore all three Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Gardens, and Chashmashahi Garden. After touring the gardens, there will be a break for lunch (at your own cost) at a local eatery. After lunch, you will head to a Carpet Weaving Center and then visit a Lacquer Center. • The next stop is the historic area of Srinagar to see the 14th-century Jama Masjid mosque. This mosque is notable for its unique exterior that reflects the Indo-Saracenic architectural style. It has the capacity to hold 30,000 people within its central hall and an additional 70,000 in its outer corridors. It features a remarkable collection of 370 wooden columns, each carved from a single cedar tree trunk. Afterwards, you can wander through the local market and the spice market, where a variety of colorful spices can be seen and smelled. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel.
