We chose this experience because of the attractive offer and its kid-friendly appeal. It exceeded our expectations with three outstanding courses, complemented by fresh apple juice and great American coffee. The outdoor food truck also had excellent cider and beer. Highly recommended.
The tasting plate featured Norwegian cuisine and included a swift three-course lunch. The setting had a charming rustic vibe, with smoked meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetable soup. The dessert was enjoyable, showcasing local herbs, fruits, and vegetables.
This farm tour was truly fantastic. We were able to pet goats, feed pigs and sheep, and enjoy the stunning farm that overlooks the fjord. The tasting menu was exceptional, featuring three courses: a platter with venison, herring, and two varieties of goat cheese paired with their cider; a hearty stew with lamb, carrots, and turnips; and an incredible carrot cake with goat cheese icing. It was a great tour and tasting experience.
This historic farm has been revitalized and is a delightful place to explore. You can interact with chickens, goats, pigs, and sheep, and enjoy the abundance of apple and pear trees along with beautiful flower gardens. The early 20th-century buildings add charm. We participated in the tasting tour, which featured traditional Norwegian farm dishes made from locally sourced, fresh ingredients. The tour provided fascinating insights into the area’s history and the reasons behind the local food choices. I highly recommend this experience. The staff are excellent, and the tour feels very personal.
We visited the farm for the 10:00 AM three-course tasting and were the only guests at that time. The food was delightful, and we appreciated the engaging conversation with our host. We gained insights into Norwegian farming while savoring local dishes. Strolling around the quaint hillside farm offered breathtaking views of the fjord. I recommend this experience to anyone seeking something unique and adventurous with diverse food options.
This experience was definitely worthwhile. Alex made us three dishes: a sampler board, stew, and carrot cake. The locally sourced cheeses and meats were incredibly tasty. The stew, which I regrettably didn’t photograph, had a satisfying turnip and potato base with smoked meat — truly filling! The carrot cake was also excellent. Alex shared interesting history on local foods, including the origin of brown cheese nearby. It was a fantastic way to spend an hour, and the beautifully landscaped grounds with farm animals added to the charm.
The walk to the charming farm was beautiful. The staff were friendly and well-informed about the local history. The three-course meal was delightful. If you miss the tasting, there’s a food trailer offering snacks and drinks. The carrot cake with local honey and orange drizzle was fantastic.
This was truly the finest experience in Flåm. A new, beautiful restaurant has opened, featuring an interior that reflects incredible attention to detail and care. It’s a comfortable spot to relax and savor excellent food. If you're in Flåm, The Fjord Farm is a must-visit. I absolutely love it.
Our favorite part of the trip was definitely Flam. The food was amazing, all sourced locally, and it offered the most genuine Norwegian experience we could ask for. Hands down, the best food and ambiance in Flam. The owners were incredibly kind. We look forward to returning one day.
The highlight of my time in Flåm. We visited several times during our one-night stay. This place has mini-pigs, lambs, great food, beer, coffee, and an incredible atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. It's essentially a delightful petting zoo, café, and farm by the fjord, and I can't recommend it highly enough.
