This full-day tour begins with kayaking across the tranquil waters of Styggevatnet, heading towards the Austdalsbreen glacier. Post-lunch, the adventure continues with a guided hike on the glacier itself, where small group sizes ensure an intimate experience. This experience was truly incredible from beginning to end, surpassing all our expectations. Flavia and Tato were not only professional and friendly, but also funny and very knowledgeable, providing great encouragement for those who felt anxious. Their boss should treat them to a cider at the center. It felt great to tackle something challenging at our age (we're in our 60s), and their clear instructions and quality equipment made the day unforgettable. Participants of all ages, including young children, had a fantastic time. If you're near Jostedal, be sure to set aside time for the full day of kayaking and glaciers; it’s absolutely wonderful.
The weather was ideal during our trip, and we were part of a relatively large group. Our two guides were excellent—supportive, engaging, and friendly. The kayak tour posed a challenge for us as inexperienced paddlers, but the glacier hike was simply breathtaking. Highly recommended.
Marcello and Darwin were our guides for this day trip, which was both beautiful and quite challenging. We spent an hour and a half kayaking, which was tough for those without training. The glacier hike was easy and truly memorable. Our guides shared plenty of interesting insights and ensured we were well taken care of, readily offering assistance when necessary. The return kayak trip was quite tough, but we were happy to have completed it. Overall, it was a wonderful day that we thoroughly enjoyed. One drawback was the visitor center not being open at departure time, resulting in no access to restrooms. I would definitely recommend this experience.
The guides were excellent and very accommodating, and we had the opportunity to learn about the glacier and more. The atmosphere was fantastic; thank you once again!
