This adventure was fantastic. We started at the park visitor center, where we took some time to explore the exhibit before heading to Styggevatnet Lake. After parking, we climbed a rocky hillside to reach the RIB boats, where we were provided with life vests. The boat ride across the lake led us to a stunning, remote glacier with beautiful blue ice, although we were mainly alone aside from our group. However, this excursion is not suitable for those with mobility challenges. I saw someone using a cane struggle on the initial uphill and later have trouble crossing to their boat due to instability. I managed to complete the trip with a pulled Achilles tendon, though I believe my doctor wouldn't have approved. Fortunately, I didn’t exacerbate my injury. The guides were very knowledgeable and professional, and I felt like we had an adequate amount of time on the ice.
We had a wonderful walk as a family of four. The experience was spectacular with breathtaking views. Our guide was excellent, and being in a small group made it even better.

The views were truly impressive, and our guide Mathy was exceptional, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience. The hot chocolate during the hike was a nice touch as well.
This was an exceptional experience for our family of four, including our children aged 15 and 12. Despite the rainy and foggy weather, it was wise to wear waterproof trousers, jackets, and winter gear like gloves, hats, scarves, and long underwear. Following a 20-minute drive from the meeting spot, we boarded the motorboat for a thrilling ride across the icy glacial lake. The sight of the Austdalsbreen Glacier Arm was truly enchanting. Once ashore, we received equipment to safely navigate the glacier with crampons. Walking on the glacier ice was surprisingly easy, and the excitement of exploring the crevasses was unforgettable. Our knowledgeable guides provided excellent support and were more than happy to answer all of our questions about the glacier. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the entire trip was remarkable. We are grateful to our fantastic guides from Argentina and Ecuador.
We enjoyed a half-day glacier tour with Ice Troll, and it was a fantastic experience. The organization was excellent, making for a memorable day for our family of four, including our kids aged 8 and 12. The boat ride to the glacier was enjoyable, and the glacier walk was thrilling. Our guide was knowledgeable, and we appreciated the hot chocolate provided while on the glacier. Although it was warm, the windy conditions made the boat ride chilly, so I suggest dressing in layers and bringing hats and gloves.

An incredible day with IceTrolls. The rib boat ride was a unique experience, especially reaching the bridge to hear the knocking and observe the calves in the water. Afterwards, we explored the glacier, walking both under and over the stunning blue ice. The equipment provided was top-notch, and the guides were truly exceptional. This will be a lasting memory for both my 6-year-old and the adults. I highly recommend it.
