Heritage walks, museum days, temple complexes, and the kind of guides who explain why a place matters rather than reciting dates. The cultural side of San Juan, paced for actual seeing.
1Embark on a journey through the natural and cultural highlights of the region. Enjoy a panoramic drive through the city before heading to the scenic Quebrada de Zonda, known as the Garden of Poets. Visit the traditional Campos de Olivo olive oil factory to learn about one of the area’s most valued local products, and admire the breathtaking views from the viewpoints of Punta Negra Dam. The experience continues at Finca Sierras Azules Winery, where you will take a guided tour of the estate and finish with a delicious gourmet lunch made with regional products, perfectly paired with the winery’s finest wines, all while enjoying stunning mountain landscapes.

The tour takes you to the heart of the San Juan valley to visit the renowned Putruele Winery, surrounded by vast and lush vineyards that create a truly unique natural setting. Enjoy a relaxing stop at the Pismanta Hot Springs and admire panoramic views from El Colorado before returning to the city of San Juan.
4Expedition loaded with emotions without equal, so much for the magnitude of the landscapes, the rough weather, the work of the mules, guides and baqueanos, added to the historical stamp that is printed in each moment in each camp, where in a certain way we relived the epic of that great patriot Don José de San Martín and his liberating troops, who chose these ravines, mountain ranges, valleys and steps to start our freedom as a country and as a continent. Duration: 8 days 7 nights Difficulty: Medium / High Season: Summer (december to March)
5You cannot miss the visit to the Ischigualasto Park "Valle De La Luna", a unique destination and outside the conventional itineraries, which surprises with its formations and unusual soil characteristics. The astonishment for the place and the richness that it contains for the study of the archaeological and paleontological sites of the area caused that UNESCO declared World Heritage Site. Its geoforms of curious forms (The Submarine, The Mushroom, the Bocce Court) and the remains of the oldest dinosaur are some of the attractions of this site, which is also known as "Valle de la Luna".
6Visit to the Ischigualasto Provincial park, world natural heritage and natural science museum. Is located in the northeast of the province of San Juan, 205 miles from its capital city. Popularly known as the Moon Valley, this fascinating and strange place covers about 153 000 acres and, together with its neighbor, Talampaya in the province of La Rioja, it was declared Mankind’s Heritage. Its importance resides in the scientific value of the paleontological findings made in the area: an almost complete sequence of the Triassic Period of the Mesozoic Era. To visit Ischigualasto means walking on the lands that dinosaurs inhabited 180-million years ago. The moon-like soil and strange geoforms sculpted by the water, sun and wind on the rocks over million of years, has turned this place into an otherworldly site. Return by Nacional Route 150, taking a new route to Cuesta del Huaco. Return to San Juan in the afternoon.
