I cannot recommend this service or provider. Our guide, who was supposed to be “a local,” lacked knowledge about the city beyond the main attractions as found on Google Maps. He relied on his phone for answers to our questions and requested to shorten the tour, which we agreed to since it wasn't engaging. When I asked for a partial refund, Lokafy declined my request.
Mo, our local guide, provided an excellent introduction to Salamanca during our 2-hour tour. His knowledge and charm made the experience truly enjoyable.
Derek was an excellent guide. The tour was leisurely and included all the key sites in the old city, along with historical insights that highlighted Salamanca's role in Spanish history. If you're visiting for the first time, this tour is a worthwhile investment to connect with this beautiful ancient center of learning.
The tour provided a fascinating experience, taking us to areas of Salamanca that we likely wouldn't have explored on our own. Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We prefer private guides over larger groups, even if it costs a bit more.
We had a great time exploring Salamanca, soaking in its history and stories. Deborah led our tour wonderfully, providing interesting insights as we strolled through the city. She was kind, patient, and very helpful throughout.
This company does not employ professional tour guides. I suggest carefully reviewing the content details. Our “guide” was a student from the Philippines who had only been in the country for two years. Although she pointed out buildings and their names, she lacked deeper insights about them. If you're seeking a traditional tourist guide who knows the history and stories, this experience won't meet your expectations. Furthermore, the guide was not genuinely local.
Débora guided us on an intriguing tour, revealing new perspectives and views of Salamanca. She shared insights about life at the university during our journey.
Derek, our tour guide, met us right on time at the designated spot outside our hotel. He was friendly and knowledgeable, demonstrating a deep understanding of Salamanca's history. Throughout the tour, he was accommodating, catering to our specific interests while highlighting key historical sites. We explored the city’s history, from the Pre-Roman era to the Post Renaissance, with insights into each building's significance, architect, and residents, plus intriguing anecdotes about related structures. By the end, we felt motivated to delve deeper into the city's past. We highly recommend this tour and Derek as a guide.
Derek was a fantastic guide who clearly has a passion for Salamanca. He led us through both ancient and newer buildings at an ideal pace. I wouldn’t change a single aspect of the tour. Derek also recommended a few of his favorite restaurants as the tour concluded.
The guide was incredibly knowledgeable about every little alley and shared fascinating stories about the impressive university and the cathedrals. We visited the Plaza Mayor, the most exquisite square I've ever seen, and checked out the house covered in shells. The experience felt more like exploring with a friend who knows all the best spots than a classroom. They even directed us to a great place for good ham and an affordable cold beer. If you're visiting and want to learn about the historical sites, I highly recommend booking this tour.
