Reviews
We were picked up right from our condo with clear guidance on what to bring and what to expect. Pablo, our guide and coordinator, was punctual, professional, and friendly. He offered extensive knowledge about the Mayan culture and Belize, maintaining our enthusiasm from morning until evening. The visit to the archaeological site was incredible, allowing us to learn and climb ancient structures, which was absolutely thrilling. The cave tubing was a different kind of amazing; floating through caves shaped by centuries of water was surreal. The hike to the river took about 30 minutes over gravel and through streams, so wearing good water or hiking sandals is advisable, as well as being prepared for mosquitoes. However, once we reached the caves, any discomfort was forgotten. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience.
We had an incredible time with Pablo, who made our day enjoyable from the start. The Mayan site was breathtaking, and his enthusiasm for sharing its history was infectious. Cave tubing was a unique and refreshing experience in pristine waters. I highly recommend this tour for both adults and families.
Chris is an outstanding tour guide. He dedicated additional time to share the rich history of the Mayan ruins and highlighted many intriguing details about the local plants and environment. He is highly professional and polite; I would recommend him to anyone.
Our tour with Christian Benedit was an incredible experience. His extensive knowledge and passion for the jungle, caves, and Mayan history truly made it memorable. He provided captivating insights about the plants, culture, and locations we visited. We strongly recommend Christian—his expertise and enthusiasm made our choice of Captain Jake completely satisfying. We look forward to returning and using Christian again. Thank you for such a wonderful trip, and congratulations on your newborn! Sincerely, Erika and Jon Hood.
Chris made for an outstanding guide. His knowledge of the history of the people and the country was impressive, and he addressed all of our questions, no matter how trivial. I would certainly choose this tour again.
We had a wonderful time on this adventure. Our guide, Chris, was exceptional and very knowledgeable. We began at the impressive Mayon ruins, followed by a nice lunch at a café. Afterward, we headed to river tubing. Although we are in our 80s and initially hesitant about tubing, Chris was supportive throughout, assisting us in crossing the river on foot and guiding us on a jungle trail. At the cave entrance, he helped us into the tubes and secured us to his. Inside the large, dark cave, we used helmet lights to see the stunning limestone formations that Chris highlighted. After exploring the cave, we floated down the river back to our starting point. Elderly travellers shouldn’t hesitate to join; the guides are fantastic.
I had an incredible time! Pablo, our tour guide, was fantastic, providing us with valuable insights and historical context. Xunantunich was absolutely breathtaking, and the views from the top of the Mayan ruins were stunning. Cave tubing was also a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this experience!
