Reviews
The entire experience was dependable and comprehensive. There was a great selection of venues, but be careful not to run out of time. Note that some wineries required appointments for tastings, which left us disappointed, though others were very welcoming and accommodating.
The tour was primarily focused on wineries, but it included too many stops that weren't related to wine. With limited time in port, I had to exit the tour before reaching the wineries I wanted to visit.
The tour group makes a strong effort to deliver a satisfying experience for cruise guests. However, the wineries are quite distant, and time is limited. It’s essential to secure reservations in advance, which we neglected to do, resulting in no tastings. If you’re spending a full day here, you might be able to visit a few wineries, but expect only 2-3 successful stops. The drivers are excellent and provide good service, but the logistics are challenging. Having tasting rooms in Picton would alleviate many of these issues.
We took a tour in Picton that ended up being very disappointing. They informed us of a reduced schedule initially, but then changed it again without notice, making us wait for over 40 minutes in poor weather and without a way to return to Picton until after 3:00 PM, which made us worry about missing our cruise. The tour mainly consisted of a short 25-minute drive between wineries and the additional stops, like an aviation museum and a chocolate store, were not relevant to the wine region. The cost was too high and there was no guided information provided during the bus ride. Even our driver suggested it might be better to arrange private transportation. Future visitors should research alternatives ahead of time, as this company in Picton isn't reliable.
The entire experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The pick-up and drop-off were punctual, ensuring everyone was accounted for. Pete, our driver, was a lot of fun, always telling jokes and keeping the mood lively. A huge thanks to the tour and especially to Pete for making it unforgettable! Gio and Harry.
This is the most well-organized hop-on hop-off service we've experienced among many we've tried. Buses were closely monitored to minimize wait times, and additional buses were dispatched as needed to keep everyone moving. The drivers were informative about each stop and provided great recommendations. Overall, it was a very efficiently managed operation.
The buses tend to run late, so it's best to plan for only 4 or 5 stops. The Aviation Museum is a highlight—definitely the best I've ever visited. Don’t forget to stop for the chocolates.
We had a wonderful day exploring Blenheim and the wine regions. Every staff member, from check-in to drop-off, was friendly and supportive. The drivers provided insightful commentary between stops, enhancing our understanding of the area. We selected four stops and had no trouble returning to the ship on time. The buses were punctual and not crowded. It was an excellent way to appreciate the region.
I had a wonderful experience with this company. The buses ran frequently, and the drivers were friendly and eager to assist.
This was a wonderful experience and an excellent opportunity to explore and support local wineries. It's important to plan your day to allow ample time for visiting the various wineries and breweries. Doing some prior research on which ones align with your interests can also be beneficial.
