Along the route, stop at the garage site where they built their early prototypes, and enjoy views of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Corolla Beach.
After booking, you'll receive instructions to download the Audio Tour Guide App by Action. Once you've downloaded the tour while connected to Wi-Fi, you can enjoy the audio offline at your own pace. This is an excellent way to get to know the area. The highlight for us was the Wright Brothers Museum and Memorial. We appreciated the self-guided audio tour, which allowed us to explore stops that intrigued us longer or bypass those we wanted to skip.
Downloading the app and listening as we went was straightforward. However, I believe they should evaluate the stops. While some, like the Dunes and The Wright memorial, were impressive, others seemed less significant and might not appeal to everyone. Personally, I would have preferred to skip about half of the stops.
This tour was the highlight of our trip! The app functioned perfectly, tracking our location with GPS. Our young kids also found it enjoyable. Highly recommended!
