We had a wonderful kayaking experience with Bailey as our guide. She provided excellent instruction on paddle strokes, including how to hold, turn, and stop. As someone from California with kayaking experience in Monterey and Santa Barbara, I appreciated learning about the natural environment of Nags Head. Bailey was knowledgeable about the local birds, plants, crabs, and fish. We really enjoyed the tour and plan to go again. I highly recommend the sunset tour from 6-8pm for its stunning views.
The tour guide was fantastic, but I had to give it 2 stars due to factors beyond his control. We weren't informed that we could bring water, and the heat left my family and me very thirsty. I advise against going when it's too hot, as the water is unpleasant and without any hydration options, it can be tough to manage the heat.
