My friend and I participated in the 5 day/4 night Hoh Rainforest to Blue Glacier trek in late July, and it was an amazing experience. Having not done serious backpacking in seven years, I felt a bit out of practice and likely wouldn't have attempted this adventure solo. I'm really thankful for Lasting Adventures for enabling people to explore these beautiful trails. The scenery was breathtaking throughout the journey. I greatly appreciate our guide Hannah for her expertise and encouragement. The communication before the trip was excellent; I felt well-prepared and informed. The equipment I rented from them was reliable, and the meals were outstanding.
I had an amazing time hiking through WA's rainforest with my guide Anna. It was my first encounter with such a rainforest, and the towering trees and nursing logs were impressive. The weather turned out to be unexpectedly nice, which made it even better. I encountered a lot of wildlife, including a friendly black bear that seemed unfazed by the crowd. The view of Blue Glacier was breathtaking, resembling an ice cream bowl. I highly recommend this hike; the guide offers excellent care and insightful knowledge about the rainforest's ecosystem, and you'll definitely be well-fed. While the hike isn't particularly tough, having some hiking and backpacking experience would be advantageous.
This was our second experience with Lasting Adventures, and it was nothing less than extraordinary. Anna, our guide, took the time to understand our desires for this trip and exceeded our expectations in helping us meet them. Her extensive knowledge of the rainforest and local Native American culture was greatly appreciated. Anna's infectious enthusiasm kept our spirits up, even during the toughest segments of the hike — with plenty of snacks to keep us going! We’re exhausted but exhilarated, already contemplating our next adventure. I also found it incredibly convenient to backpack with Lasting Adventures; they provided top-notch gear so I only needed to bring my clothes and personal items. The pre-trip communication, including training advice and a packing list, was extremely useful.
