The journey through Norfolk lasted roughly 2 hours and included five participants: a grandmother, an adult, and three kids aged 10 to 14. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and discovered many new things about our city. It was definitely worth it and a lot of fun.
An afternoon filled with fun, this activity offered a great way to discover our city. We appreciated the opportunity to learn new things while engaging with the community.
I was really let down. I intended to tour the Wisconsin Battle Ship but somehow ended up with tickets for the scavenger hunt. In my view, the description wasn't clear enough.
I mistakenly believed that the excursion included admission to the USS Wisconsin, as it was the only information I found online. I purchased four tickets for myself, my husband, and another couple in their 60s. Upon arrival, we were informed that our tickets were not valid for the ship. When I called Let's Roam, the representative clarified that the tickets were solely for the scavenger hunt. We ended up purchasing tickets for the ship directly and didn’t participate in the scavenger hunt because we struggled to access it on our phones. The information on the website seemed misleading.
Exploring the city on foot was enjoyable. It's important to bring plenty of water along. I felt secure and at ease while wandering around.
Approaching experiences with the right mindset can make them enjoyable. Although the challenges were underwhelming and my group was not fond of the constant photo-taking, we did see some sights that we likely would have missed otherwise. Overall, it was a decent way to pass a couple of hours.
The instructions were a bit unclear until I downloaded the app, which was helpful. However, we found ourselves going in circles while trying to reach each check-in spot. Completing the activity will definitely take longer than two hours unless you know the area well. Overall, it was enjoyable, and having a larger group would definitely enhance the experience.
We were extremely disappointed after spending an hour trying to access the scavenger hunt, only to be unsuccessful despite multiple long calls. We couldn't participate and were let down by the customer service's refusal to refund our wasted time. We had been looking forward to the scavenger hunt, but it turned into nothing but frustration. I would not recommend buying tickets through this service.
The tour was somewhat basic, but it offered a pleasant stroll through a beautiful section of the city. I wasn't a fan of the time constraints, but the walk was easy to navigate.
The activity appeared to be a great option for a group of friends in Norfolk. However, it was labeled as "self-guided," leading us to believe we could do it independently. When something came up on the scheduled day, we thought we could simply do it the next day. The following morning, I received an email asking for feedback on our experience. The website lacked clear details about the scavenger hunt, such as whether we needed to meet someone or if we could commence it on our own. There was a significant absence of straightforward instructions about when and how to start the activity. If you decide to purchase this experience, ensure that you have a confirmed time and date to avoid missing out like we did.
