Reviews
This place falls short of Lego's usual standards. It's quite small, and the promotional video does not match reality. We anticipated a few more attractions, perhaps a character meet and greet, to make the cost worthwhile. The play areas are often overcrowded and messy. While the Lego city and the 4D movie were impressive, you can only see three films if you plan your time carefully. The building workshop was enjoyable, but it's disappointing that kids can't take home their creations like they can at Legoland Florida. After spending over $100, we felt let down by not being able to keep a simple $5 Lego. This venue seems more suited for younger children, probably around 8 or 9 years old as a maximum. Additionally, the ride was quite brief, and the interactive wands didn’t function. There is a clear need for more attractions, especially given the price.
This experience felt incredibly overpriced and lacking in enjoyable activities. The main options were limited to playing with LEGO or watching a brief 3-minute 3D movie. The shops were also expensive; a cup of ice cream cost $9. Even my kids didn't enjoy it and referred to it as an American nightmare.
Legoland offers an excellent playground experience, featuring toys to climb on and slides, along with numerous tables filled with Lego for kids to enjoy. There's also a movie theater and a New York City Lego display, which my 5-year-old daughter adored. However, I found the cost quite high. While the child's ticket is reasonable, adults pay the same price, making the total quite steep for a short visit. For locals who can return frequently, the $100 membership seems like a better option.
This experience felt overpriced for the value provided. The stations were poorly organized and had a limited selection. Some parts of the ride were not functional. A fairer price would have been $20 per person, as the $35 charged was not justifiable for what was a rather disappointing outing for my 5-year-old son.
The experience was very engaging, and the 4D movie was fantastic. It was incredible to see all the possibilities of what can be created with Legos.
If you've visited a Legoland theme park before, it's important not to approach the Legoland Discovery Center with similar expectations. Despite having seen images of the venue and reading about it, we arrived with high hopes, influenced by our positive experience at Legoland Deutschland. The space is relatively small, and with our kids aged 4 and 1 during our visit, many of the exhibits didn't quite capture their interest due to the limited hands-on activities. However, our love for Legos ultimately made our experience enjoyable once we adjusted our expectations. The interactive ride was the highlight of our visit and highly recommend it, as it stands out as the best attraction at the center. There is also a small theater and a playground for children. It's a solid option for a rainy day, especially for Lego enthusiasts.
This is a well-organized venue, catering mostly to small children or adults who enjoy Lego. We had a great time as a family, and the pricing is reasonable for the experience.
As a Lego enthusiast, I was disappointed with my recent experience. The admission fee was steep, and my children only found about half an hour of entertainment, with 15 minutes spent in a climbing section unrelated to Lego. While the main display was impressive and the ride was enjoyable, lasting only around four minutes, the movie felt outdated. There were some building areas, but we could easily replicate that at home for no cost. Additionally, the store was about half the size of the exhibit area. Normally, Lego products justify their price with quality, but this experience was lacking, leaving me surprised that Lego endorsed such a subpar attraction.
Having always dreamed of receiving a Lego set for every holiday and birthday as a child, experiencing this attraction in person was truly a dream come true. My inner Lego fan was certainly reignited.
I have always recognized the importance of age and size rules at theme parks, but the regulations at Legoland Discovery centers seem unreasonable. If Lego understood the significant number of adults with autism who enjoy their products, they might rethink this policy.
