Reviews
The bus ride felt excessively long, but it was informative. Unfortunately, the beach at Pirangi was quite dirty, making it difficult to enjoy the sea. However, since everything involved walking, we did manage to join the dance activities.
The tour featured unappealing stops, poor quality markets, and a heavy focus on photography. We were disappointed by the lack of drink offerings and found it costly, with no visits to significant historic sites.
The tour commenced right from the hotel lobby, which was thrilling as it allowed for immediate relaxation. After picking up additional participants, we set off. The journey featured stunning coastal scenery, a delightful boat excursion, and tasty meals by the beach with opportunities to swim and unwind. We also explored the world's largest cashew tree, taking in the remarkable sights of Natal and its surroundings. The guide was dedicated to sharing accurate and current information about all the attractions we visited. I highly recommend this tour, as it offers a relaxed way to see many tourist highlights in just one day.
The high tide at Elbow Beach was unfortunate, as it made swimming risky. However, the Cajueiro and its story are definitely worth experiencing.
The river crossing was enjoyable, and visiting the World Cup Stadium followed by the beach was a nice touch. Although the tour was in Spanish, the guide sometimes used a mix of Portuguese and Spanish, which lessened the depth of the explanations. Unfortunately, the Magi fort was closed for maintenance. It seems Natal doesn't prioritize preserving its history, which is unfortunate as there's likely much to share.
My experience was disappointing as I booked a tour for the Christmas city and South Coast, but only received a city tour that didn't follow the promised itinerary. I specifically wanted to see the Cajueiro and the Strong of the Magical Kings, and thought this tour would fit my limited time perfectly. Instead, we began with a visit to a fair that wasn’t even open, forcing us to wait for security clearance. To make matters worse, the boat tour at the end required an additional payment of 35 reals, and we didn't even visit the South Coast or Cajueiro as planned. The guide suggested I seek a refund, mentioning that the tour company no longer follows the itinerary listed on the site, which left me feeling misled, especially considering the tour wasn't cheap.
It’s quite hot for touring by micro or on foot; traveling by car is definitely preferable. The highlight was the impressive Fort of Dois Reis.
The tour I experienced yesterday was exceptional. Although I don't speak Spanish fluently, the guide, who only spoke Spanish, took the extra time to ensure I understood everything. An English-speaking participant also assisted me, and everyone else was very helpful.
The package I bought promised a visit to the largest cashew tree in the world and Arena das Dunas, but that didn't happen. Instead, we went to Forte dos Reis Magos, did a city tour, and spent three hours at the beach. I ended up taking an Uber back to my hotel. The guide mentioned that there was a change in the package, but I wasn't informed. I asked for a refund.
The tour was exactly as described. They arrived punctually, and everyone involved was friendly and courteous. Our guide provided a nearly personalized experience since we were the only participants who did not speak Portuguese.
