During this period, Kichijoji, home to more than 18 animation studios, transforms into a dream destination for anime enthusiasts. The city will buzz with fans, artists, and creators enjoying anime at the 22nd Kichijoji International Animation Festival, sharing a passion for one of Japan's most iconic art forms. On this special tour, you can experience the world of anime up close by visiting manga and anime exhibitions at Gallery ZENON, the flagship gallery of Coamix Inc. Depending on your interests, you can also explore hidden anime photo spots, discover unique manhole covers featuring popular characters, browse anime-related shops, and take a stroll through nostalgic shopping streets that have inspired countless stories. (The following information is based on the 2026 event. Details for 2027 will be announced once confirmed.)
02This cozy and magical spot for cat lovers is located in the heart of Kichijoji. The two-story cat café offers an immersive experience where visitors can interact with a variety of cats while enjoying a whimsical, relaxing atmosphere. Inspired by the world of picture books, the café blends creativity and nostalgia, creating a warm, storybook-like environment perfect for unwinding. Its unique castle-themed design features a climbing gym for the playful cats that call it home. From fluffy Maine Coons to adorable Munchkins and other breeds, visitors can spend quality time with friendly felines in a serene setting, making it ideal for visits with friends, family, or solo adventures. Please list all times you can visit (between 11:00 and 18:30) in the 'Special Requirements' section during booking. Due to high demand, your preferred time slot may be unavailable. It's known for its flashier side, but one part that is rarely seen is the quiet backstreets, and as a photographer, these are the places that make the best memories. The route avoids landmarks and concentrates on backstreets, residential zones, while sharing the history of the area. Three elements make this distinct: 1. The Quiet areas of Tokyo The route stays on foot from Inokashira Park into the surrounding neighborhoods. No trains, no jumping between districts, no crowds. 2. You are part of the story Participants are photographed naturally during the walk. These are candid, documentary-style images of you moving through Tokyo, observing, photographing, existing in the city. You leave with professional images of yourself that don’t look staged or touristic. This tour is for travelers who want to understand Tokyo by walking through it, and absorbing it through the relaxed side of the city.

Next, experience ANIME FANTASISTA JAPAN 2026, held on July 19 and 20. This exciting event features a variety of showcases and performances by 15 renowned animation studios based in Musashino City. As you explore the town, keep an eye out for seven unique manhole covers decorated with famous anime characters!
