Three to four hours of trekking—tea plantations, grasslands, and views of Anaimudi peak, Idukki Dam.
This guided half-day trek in Munnar starts at an altitude of approximately 1,420 metres above sea level and lasts around three to four hours. After navigating through lush tea plantations for about 60 to 90 minutes, you’ll reach a hilltop that offers stunning views along a ridge. The landscape features grasslands, steep rocky slopes, and patches of Shola forest. On clear days, catch a glimpse of Anaimudi, the tallest peak in South India, and Idukki Dam, one of the highest arch dams in Asia.
During the trek, there’s a break for refreshments or a picnic lunch. The trek will wind back through more tea plantations, covering a total elevation of about 1,950 metres at its peak. Wear comfortable walking shoes and prepare for varying terrain as you enjoy Munnar's unique spices like coffee and cardamom along the way.
