Our tour was conducted by a Navajo guide who shared fascinating stories and cultural traditions with us throughout the day. We marveled at stunning sandstone formations, such as the Three Sisters, East and West Mitten Buttes, Elephant Butte, and Big Hogan, among others. The ancient petroglyphs carved into the sandstone thousands of years ago were also impressive. At Big Hogan, our guide played what he referred to as the Navajo version of rock and roll on his drum, adding depth to the experience. With only twelve people in our group, it felt just right. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
