Seven and a half hours touring the Barbaresco region, visiting two wineries, enjoying lunch in a medieval village, and taste local wines guided by an expert sommelier.
Start your day at 9:30 AM in the historic centre of Neive, a charming medieval hilltop town in the Barbaresco wine area. Over a warm beverage at a local caffè, a sommelier will provide insights into the region, grape varieties, and winemaking. After a scenic drive through picturesque vineyards, the first winery visit includes a glimpse into the winemaking process and tastings of exquisite family wines.
Lunch follows in a quaint local eatery within a medieval village before the second winery visit. The tour concludes back at the starting point by 5 PM, allowing time for a leisurely aperitivo or dinner afterwards. Be prepared for a day of rich tastes and deep regional knowledge.

We enjoyed a day of wine education and tasting with Elinora, visiting Canelli, Asti, Barbaresco, and Nieves. The journey took us through vineyard farm roads, providing an intimate look at the terroir. We also had a delicious lunch at a charming bistro away from the usual tourist spots. Amanda arranged a thoughtful one-day itinerary that accommodated our other plans during our two weeks in Piemonte and tailored to my wife's preference for white wines due to her migraines. Elinora was friendly and well-informed, sharing a wealth of knowledge about viticulture and winemaking in the area. Piemonte, especially the Langhe Valley, is the most stunning wine region we have encountered, with exceptional wines and no crowds. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend spending a day with Amanda's Wine Adventures.
Our experience with Amanda over the two days was outstanding. It felt like exploring with a friend who introduced us to some amazing, lesser-known wineries we wouldn't have found ourselves. She managed everything seamlessly, from transportation to winery tours, lunch bookings, and even arranging the shipment of wine back to the U.S. Amanda handled every detail meticulously, and I cannot recommend her enough.
The tour with Amanda was fantastic. Her understanding of the area and connections provided a truly local and personalized experience. Our small group had a member from the wine industry, and Amanda expertly matched their expertise with suitable wineries. The local Osteria was excellent as well, making us feel like true locals.
We had a wonderful day exploring the Barolo region, blending a truffle hunt with a visit to a winery. Our guide, Alexa, was knowledgeable about the area and its wines. One of the standout aspects of Amanda's Wine Adventures was their flexibility in planning our day, including pick-up and drop-off at our hotel. It was a fantastic experience overall.
This activity offers an insightful journey into Italy's culinary and wine history. Amanda and her team are not only knowledgeable but also exceptionally friendly and helpful with translations and inquiries during our stay. I wholeheartedly recommend their services. We enjoyed a truffle hunting tour and a wine tasting day with Alexa, who was delightful and punctual. She took us to an excellent enoteca with a fantastic selection of wines, a tasty lunch option, and a charming small vineyard. The following day, we participated in a cooking class at a family home in Barbaresco, which was a lot of fun. Booking experiences through Amanda's Wine Adventures is absolutely worthwhile.
We had an incredible experience during our two days with Eleonora, who is enthusiastic and well-versed in wine, food, and the Piemonte region. She is approachable and engaging, making the experience enjoyable. The highlights included truffle hunting, cheese tasting, a delicious lunch featuring Piemonte tajarin, and savoring a variety of exquisite wines. Communication with Amanda was effortless, and if we get the chance to visit the area again, we will surely book another adventure.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Elenora from Amanda’s Wine & Adventures. After three months of planning with Amanda, we kicked off our morning with a fantastic truffle hunt where our dog found two black truffles and one white truffle. Next, we participated in an impressive wine tasting in La Morra that really showcased the region. Lunch at a quaint café in the countryside was delicious. In the afternoon, we visited a local winery, took a tour, and got to meet the owner and his son. My wife even squeezed in some shopping for family gifts. Overall, it was a truly wonderful day and a fantastic experience.
For those who appreciate wine, history, and authentic experiences, this tour is a perfect fit. Our day exploring wineries in Alba with Elenora from Amanda’s Wine Adventures was remarkable. We visited three exceptional wineries, connecting with passionate winemakers and learning about the region's rich history, winemaking processes, and the challenges faced. At each location, we were treated to generous tastings of excellent wines such as Arneis, Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo di Langhe, Barolo, and Barbaresco, each reflecting Piedmont's unique character. A standout moment was enjoying a wonderful meal at one of the wineries, wonderfully paired with their wines. Elenora was the perfect guide—warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. She provided fantastic insights throughout the day, ensured our safety, and made us feel like family in Alba. I highly recommend this experience to anyone, whether you're a dedicated wine lover or simply have an interest in the region. It's a must-do in Piedmont!
Nicol was very approachable and willingly adjusted the itinerary to meet our needs. This company has excellent connections, allowing me to sample outstanding wines, including some premium selections not typically offered to tourists. The lunch spot was also fantastic. Great job!
Amanda and her husband were outstanding hosts who really understand the region and its wines. Their expertise in history and food was an added bonus. We had a fantastic experience and look forward to returning.
