I had a great experience with the safe transportation from the airport to the El Zonte area. The driver was waiting for me at customs with a sign bearing my name. Despite facing unusual traffic due to an accident, he remained very patient.jeremy_c

Alfredo was friendly and very knowledgeable, making our hike and tour an outstanding experience. He picked us up from our hotel and shared fascinating insights about El Salvador's history and geography on the way to the hiking start point. We hiked to the waterfalls, where we enjoyed swimming; although we didn’t jump in, Alfredo made sure we had a great time. We had a fun photo session at the falls, and he kindly offered to hold our bags while capturing plenty of pictures and videos for our album. After the hike, we had lunch at a restaurant on the black beach, where the large waves almost reached us at the table. Our meal and conversations with him were delightful. Post-lunch, we stopped at a local vendor to get fresh coconut water. If you can only do one activity in El Salvador, make sure to participate in the Wet and Wild: Tamanique Waterfalls and El Tunco Beach experience. It truly is phenomenal. Thank you, Alfredo, for making our trip memorable.michellefG1844XR
  3. Sunrise hike at Santa Ana Volcano, La Libertad3

    3. Sunrise hike at Santa Ana Volcano

    3.9· 14 reviews· 10 hours

A morning hike to the summit of El Salvador’s highest volcano for panoramic views at sunrise.

I have to be honest about my experience. I paid $295 for the tour but had to take an Uber to meet the guide at a gas station 20 minutes away, despite being promised transportation. I confirmed the arrangements the night before, and he assured me he would be there at 2 am. He mentioned he would reimburse me for the Uber but never did. Upon arrival at the hiking location, he simply said goodbye. I expected a full tour but only received a ride to the park, for which I paid extra. Additionally, he promised lanterns for everyone, yet we only got one small flashlight to share. I cannot recommend this tour at all. Thankfully, I had someone with me since I typically travel solo as a female, and meeting at a random gas station at 2 am would have made me very uneasy. I've had fantastic experiences with other tours in El Salvador, but this was not one of them. The service was incredibly unprofessional.jennyiL1922EO
