Navigating the rapids was an exhilarating experience. Our raft guide prioritized our safety while ensuring we had a blast. The water initially feels quite cold, but it’s refreshing on a warm day. After lunch, we enjoyed a peaceful, leisurely ride to the pick-up point. The bus driver was also excellent. Just a heads up, there are no restrooms available on the river, and the journey to and from the river is quite bumpy due to the dirt roads, so those prone to motion sickness should take precautions.
I booked thinking Viator was a reputable company, but my experience was disappointing. The river trip with the Hualapai tribe was incredible, but Viator charged double the price. When I requested a refund based on their price match, they provided endless excuses and sent an empty website that had no trips listed. I will not use Viator again and advise others to do their research and steer clear of them.
Our trip was fantastic! Dale made for a safe, knowledgeable, and entertaining guide. The views were stunning, and the rapids provided an exciting experience. Be ready to get wet and brace for the 45-degree water. It's a good idea to bring plenty of sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and an extra set of clothes for the bus ride home. Expect the adventure to last the entire day! It was the highlight of our vacation.
This trip was absolutely incredible, and I’m really happy we went! We visited on May 31 and encountered cold weather, so it's important to dress properly. The combination of 40-degree water and wind can make it chilly. Expect a lengthy day due to the bus rides into and out of the canyon, but the experience is truly worth it! Our guide Kyle provided insightful commentary on the history and beauty of this amazing landmark. It's a journey my family and I will cherish forever.
The round trip from Las Vegas took about 2.5 hours, and everyone I interacted with was excellent. My van driver engaged in conversation the whole way, while the bus driver shared stories and allowed us to take photos of the canyon. The Hualapai boat captains were both knowledgeable and professional. The excursion involved more physical activity than I anticipated, with climbing on and off motorized rafts and crawling up to a spring, but it was an experience that was definitely worth the time and money.
The guides were excellent—kind and very supportive. The equipment was top-notch. However, the distance felt a bit lengthy and somewhat flat in the middle section.
This experience was truly fantastic! Our guide, Elias, was friendly and skillfully navigated the Colorado River and its rapids. It's absolutely an experience that you shouldn't miss.
We enjoyed every moment of our Grand Canyon adventure. Our guide Trent was exceptional—knowledgeable, adventurous, and humorous, making the experience exceed our expectations. He added excitement to the rapids and shared fascinating stories about the canyon. We felt entirely safe and appreciated the refreshing water, despite being soaked. The waterfall was a standout feature as well. We highly recommend this full-day tour, although the second half of floating downstream after lunch could be slightly shorter if there were an alternative spot to get off.
I had a wonderful day on the Colorado River with Kyle leading the way. While the bus ride to the river was quite bumpy, Tom, our driver, provided a wealth of information, stopping frequently to discuss different plants and the landscape. The rapids, including a thrilling class 7, were fantastic. Though the tour was expensive, it was definitely worth it.
I had a wonderful time on this trip. The first part was filled with exciting rapids, and since we were on a motorized boat, we just needed to hold on. After a provided lunch, we enjoyed a peaceful ride through the beautiful canyons of the Colorado River. It was amazing.
