Our guide Jeremy was punctual and easy to locate. He was a safe driver who shared plenty about himself and the local area. Unlike some guides who just go through the motions, he was truly engaged and focused on enhancing our experience, even stopping for me to take photos of cattle. The horses were incredibly well-trained. I felt nervous at first, but they turned out to be gentle and responsive. Our trail guide was friendly, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the region. Lunch featured a fantastic burger, and although the singing cowboy isn't my style, he adjusted to the mood and opted for casual conversation instead of singing. The gallery we visited had many intriguing pieces. Even though I don't usually buy souvenirs, I ended up purchasing two items. I was very satisfied with this experience and plan to book with Desert Wonders again on my next visit to Laughlin.
This horseback riding adventure in Joshua Tree Forest surpassed what I had anticipated. The staff were incredibly supportive, helping me, a novice rider, to enjoy the gentle horses on breathtaking but challenging terrain. The ranch lunch was delightful, and the singing cowboy entertained us with nostalgic songs and ballads upon request. I highly recommend this tour for everyone.
This was outstanding. It was exactly what we needed—time riding on horseback and away from the roads. The lunch was enjoyable, and the transportation was top-notch.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience; the tour was ideal for us, with a small group and easy access to incredible sights. Michael was an excellent guide, providing thorough explanations and being a wonderful host. We felt very fortunate and would definitely repeat this tour.
The Grand Canyon Western Ranch experience was disappointing overall. Our guide Bob was friendly, and the horseback ride was enjoyable with lovely views of Spirit Mountain. Casey played nice cowboy songs and shared interesting stories about the ranch. However, the "homemade" lunch was underwhelming, consisting of a basic burger and processed crisps instead of real fries. It felt ironic that Casey emphasized it was "real food" and not "fast food" while we were served such a simple meal. Overall, it did not justify the $240 price.
Mike was an exceptional guide, making our time together feel relaxed and friendly. He offered engaging conversations and displayed impressive knowledge about the area. His safe driving added to the experience. The horseback ride through Joshua Tree was remarkable, with stunning views and friendly trail guides. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend Mike and Desert Wonder tours for creating memorable adventures.
I had a wonderful experience with Bob. He made everything easy, especially with our unique lodging situation, going above and beyond to assist us. The tour was fantastic, and I believe it was worth every penny. I would certainly recommend it.
The horseback riding experience was outstanding! The entire day was well-organized and executed flawlessly. Our guide Susan was punctual and extremely knowledgeable, sharing many insights during the one-hour drive from Kingman. Jennifer, the horse guide, provided clear directions, ensuring a safe and enjoyable ride across beautiful terrain. We also spotted buffalo, coyotes, and a roadrunner. Lunchtime featured a cowboy-themed saloon with tasty food, where we met the hilarious Cowboy Dave—definitely ask him about the mounted buffalo head; he can also sing! The entire team was friendly, making it a fun, family-oriented experience that truly helps you unwind.
The Desert Wonder Tour's horseback riding experience was truly unique for us. Our guide, Susan, was punctual, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area's flora and fauna. We gained insights into the wildlife in Arizona, spotting a coyote, a roadrunner, buffalo, Joshua trees, and even desert sand tornadoes. The horse ride itself was outstanding, as Jessica, the horse master, has trained her horses to be gentle and attuned to riders and the terrain. It was both enjoyable and relaxing. This adventure served as a wonderful escape from our regular work routine. At lunch, we met Cowboy Dave, a talented singer and fantastic entertainer (don't hesitate to ask him about the Buffalo Head). The entire team had a laid-back vibe, making the experience even more enjoyable. We're considering joining their campfire event next.
Brandon, our guide, picked us up in Las Vegas and took us to the ranch, making stops both ways for photo opportunities. The ranch is beautiful, and the horseback riding experience was incredible, offering excellent value with fantastic views and a fun trail. The lunch, which included BBQ ribs, beans, corn, a bun, and dessert, was delicious. Cowboy Dave provided entertaining performances, and his friendly demeanor added to the day’s enjoyment. I’m truly happy to have discovered this tour.
