The Road to Hana is an enjoyable experience, though it's a lengthy day. The journey features many hairpin turns and 54 one-lane bridges. Along the route, there are stunning stops, including a black sand beach and a beautiful waterfall that is swim-friendly, albeit chilly, for those who can navigate the slick boulders. Overall, it's a lovely way to appreciate the landscape.
This was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend. The tour guide shared informative history and stories. We made plenty of stops for snacks and restroom breaks. The van was comfortable, and hotel pickup was convenient. Ed, our guide, was excellent.

This trip is a must-do. The black sand beach was stunning, and we spotted sea turtles and a seal on the north shore. The banana bread at the stand we visited was incredibly tasty. We even got to cuddle with cows at one of the stops. We saw waterfalls and a beach where the lava met the sea. Kobi, our driver, was fantastic—hilarious and supportive, truly keeping us entertained throughout.
It was an enjoyable experience, though it's important to note that the roadside stops may not always be chosen for their quality, but rather due to existing relationships between the tour provider and the vendors.

We enjoyed several waterfalls, as well as the local flora and trees. Our day included breakfast with Musabi and a delicious sandwich for lunch, and water was provided all day. I strongly recommend this tour, and I suggest requesting Justine as your guide and tipping him generously.
