What's the itinerary?+
• The Hana Highway stretches for 64.4 miles (103.6 km) and is recognized as the world’s longest coastal scenic route. It continues to Kipahulu as Hawaii Route 31 (also known as the Piilani Highway) beyond Kalepa Bridge and features 59 one-lane bridges, over 640 turns and twists amidst a lush tropical rainforest. Most of the bridges made of concrete and steel date back to 1910. • Approximately four miles into your journey to Hāna from Kahului is the historic town of Pāʻia, located on Maui's north coast. Once a vibrant plantation town during Maui's sugar cane era, Pāʻia now has colorful rustic storefronts hosting local art galleries, unique shopping boutiques, and dining options. • Ho'okipa Beach is recognized as a top location for windsurfing. Visitors can observe wind surfers, kite boarders, and surfers engaging with the ocean’s waves and winds. This area is also known for the presence of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, which can often be seen feeding along the shore or resting on the beach. • Twin Falls marks the first easily reachable series of waterfalls and pools along the Road to Hana. • Haipua'ena Falls is a modest waterfall and pool located on the popular Road to Hana, often receiving less visitor traffic due to the unmarked trail and short hike over a frequently muddy path. • Small Hawaiian communities strive to maintain traditional ways of life, including activities such as hunting pigs and cultivating taro, breadfruit, and bananas. This area is home to the well-known Half Way to Hana Snack stand, which serves shave ice, fresh coconut, cold drinks, and their signature Fresh Baked Banana Bread. The Keanae overlook provides views of one of Hawaii's largest taro farms. • Aunty Sandy Hueu started baking her renowned banana bread in Keʻanae, Maui, in 1983. Her daughter Tammy joined the venture in 2003, forming a family-owned food stand on the Keʻanae peninsula. Aunty Sandy's has since become a popular stop for freshly baked banana bread. • A notable location for taking photographs while engaging in thrilling activities. • Upper Waikani Falls is commonly referred to as Three Bears, named for its three parallel falls of varying lengths, with the smallest being dubbed the “baby bear” falls on the right. • Wailua Falls is a scenic waterfall that is easily observable from The Hana Highway, allowing visitors to view it without exiting their vehicles. • Lava tubes are formed by cooling lava flows on the surface, creating protective conduits for the molten lava beneath. These tubes, which once served as channels for lava over long distances, can now be found in a few locations on Maui, with Ka’eleku Cave being the largest accessible lava tube on the island. • Hana Beach Park, located within Hana Bay, features a long black-sand beach and is recognized as the safest swimming location along the East Maui coastline due to its coral reef protection and curved shape. • Wai’anapanapa State Park is known for its stunning Black Sand Beach, characterized by cobalt blue waters and black sand from a recent lava flow. Visitors can stroll along the bay’s edge or relax under a tree. The park offers breathtaking near 360-degree panoramic views of the landscape, where lush hills and valleys meet the dramatic black basalt coastline and the deep blue ocean. • Access to the waterfall is straightforward. Some may choose to swim in the cool waters on a warm day, so it’s advisable to wear a swimsuit and bring a change of clothes and towels. • Located just past Mile Marker 19, Upper Waikani Falls, known as Three Bears, features three distinct but parallel waterfalls, with the third being the smallest referred to as the “baby bear” falls. • Wailua Valley, an ahupua'a situated after the Keanae
