Triston turned this trip into an unforgettable and enjoyable experience. He assisted us at the waterfall, provided an informative tour with historical insights, and was very friendly and hospitable. He made sure we had all we needed and more. Mahalo!
The guide was pleasant, but we were told before booking to bring water shoes for a waterfall visit, only to find out during the tour that it was not included. I didn't experience any water activities and wish they had communicated this beforehand so we could manage our family's expectations and pack accordingly.
Eli was an excellent driver, ensuring our safety while providing drinks and plenty of information. However, the tour had its downsides: there were limited opportunities for photos on the “half road” to Hana, and we only had 20 minutes to swim at the falls, with much of that time spent changing in the bathroom, which led me to skip swimming entirely. We felt rushed on the way back to accommodate another couple's schedule. The ocean view stop by the rocks was stunning, but it was the only standout moment. Next time, I would prefer a private tour or the standard road to Hana tour for more time.
Eli, our tour guide, was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable and patient, showing a real passion for his work. If I were to return, I would definitely request him again.
Eli was an excellent guide, providing numerous engaging stories, both personal and historical, while also being a skilled driver. The bus was very clean and comfortably accommodated 12 people. The itinerary felt a bit ambitious; however, Eli ensured we returned on time for those with dinner plans. While I recognize this experience was "Hana Lite," I would have preferred to spend 40 fewer minutes at the taco stand in exchange for a chance to walk by the waterfalls, rather than only taking photos. Overall, it was still an enjoyable day.
The touring van was very comfortable, and Eli proved to be an excellent guide—both friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed breathtaking ocean views alongside many inland waterfalls. Be prepared for a lot of driving on winding mountain roads, which could induce car sickness. However, it was much better than attempting to navigate that route in a rental car on our own. With Eli driving, we felt safe, and he showed us all the best spots for stunning photos. It was a fun day filled with great pictures and plenty of learning!
This trip is a must-experience. I highly recommend it. Our guide Eli was wonderful; he provided us with information about the towns we passed and their history from the moment we were picked up. His knowledge of the local vegetation was impressive, and he highlighted some fantastic views during our journey. The small group size, combined with a comfortable van and a skilled driver, made for a pleasant experience.
Our journey on the half road to Hana with Tristan was fantastic. He was a delightful guide, taking the time to explain everything and sharing his personal stories from growing up in Hawaii. We would definitely do this tour again. Thank you!
The journey along the halfway point to Hana was truly ideal for us. We admired numerous stunning waterfalls, eucalyptus and bamboo trees, and savored delicious Hawaiian banana bread. A stop at a beach allowed us to see more than 40 turtles, along with surfers having a great time in the ocean. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
Be prepared to swim at two of the waterfalls, so it's a good idea to wear your swimsuit and bring a towel.
