Reviews
The tour was excellent, simple to follow, and filled with information. It was wonderful to have a local resident share insights about his city. We gained knowledge about Isafjordur that we wouldn't have accessed on our own or through a guidebook. I would definitely go on a tour like this again after this experience.
Using the Voice Map product for the first time was a great experience. We really enjoyed the self-guided tour. It was convenient that it functioned well even with our mobile phones in airplane mode. Plus, having a local person narrate the tour added a nice touch.
It was an enjoyable experience exploring Isafjordur with a local guide. The insights and locations shared were ones we wouldn't have discovered by ourselves. Although Voicemap was somewhat confusing initially, it became easier to navigate as we progressed. I look forward to using it for future tours.
A wonderful way to discover this charming town. The app was user-friendly and packed with information. I would strongly suggest it.
The experience was mediocre. We did get to see the main attractions of the city. However, the GPS map provided from behind the Sun Street Catholic Church was misleading and confusing. Additionally, there was a very unpleasant odor from the factory nearby. Aside from those issues, it was satisfactory.
Our self-guided walking tour was incredibly enjoyable. The ability to set our own pace made the experience truly valuable. Gylfi Olafsson was both knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour.
The narrator began by introducing himself with a mix of light humor and anecdotes from his childhood, highlighting historical sites and events along the way. The technology was impressive, providing notifications if one veered off course. A putting green was a nice surprise, along with suggestions for pastries at the local bakery. It was a fantastic way to get some exercise in a quiet, small town.
This tour is well-planned and insightful, making it perfect for anyone with a few hours to spare in the area. We even ran into the author's wife near their home, and she was exceptionally kind.
This was an excellent way to familiarize ourselves with the area in just a brief period. The guide was both informative and entertaining. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We depart Isafjordur feeling as if we are leaving an old friend, and we plan to return one day.
It's important to grasp how the app functions and ensure your iPhone settings are correctly configured before starting the tour. My partner and I had varying settings, which caused some initial confusion. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the audio tour and have since recommended the app to several others.
