• Charminar is an iconic landmark in Hyderabad, constructed in 1591 by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shahi, the fifth sultan of the Qutub Shahi dynasty, to mark the end of a severe plague epidemic. The guide will share intriguing stories, including the existence of a secret tunnel beneath Charminar that linked to Golconda Fort, intended as a means of escape for the royal family during emergencies. • A visit to a renowned street market for pearls and bangles is included. • The itinerary includes a walk to Mecca Masjid, known as one of the oldest mosques in India. The mosque's foundation was laid by Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah, and its bricks were made with soil collected from Mecca. The mosque has the capacity to accommodate over 10,000 worshippers. • The final part of the tour leads to Choumahalla, the historic palace of the Nizams, once among the wealthiest families globally. Highlights of this palace include a water fountain, vintage automobiles, detailed carvings, glass chandeliers, and the grand durbar hall. During the peak period of the Nizams, up to 7,000 attendants were present in the palace. The guide will provide details about the personal and political history of Hyderabad's Nizams. (Choumahalla Palace is not accessible on Fridays. If the walk occurs on a Friday, this location will not be included.)
