• An Ashurkhana serves as a mourning site for Shia Muslims on Ashura, observed on the 10th day of Muharram. It was founded by Muhammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1594, contributing to the establishment of several Ashurkhanas in the city after the completion of Charminar, which marked the new city of Hyderabad in 1591. The vibrant tile-mosaic work was finalized under Abdullah Qutb Shah in 1611. Following the Mughal takeover of Hyderabad, Aurangzeb repurposed it as a horse stable for the Mughal cavalry, reflecting Sunni sectarianism. • Pathar Gatti was constructed in 1911 during the era of the last Nizam of Hyderabad State, Mir Osman Ali Khan. Named for its stone structure, the building was designed by the notable engineer Vishveshwaraiah, showcasing a unique Osmanian architectural style. • Char Kaman, translating to four gates, was built in 1592 by the founder, positioned approximately 75 meters north of Charminar. These four prominent arches, known as Charminar Kaman, Machli Kaman, Kali Kaman, and Sher-e-Batil-Ki-Kaman, stand fifty feet tall and outline an open square where a Qutb Shahi palace once stood. • Located 350 feet from Char Kaman, Gulzar Houz, which was initially 12-sided, evolved into an octagonal shape and today appears nearly circular. This octagonal water reservoir was created to provide water for soldiers, traders, and travelers. • Established in 1591 A.D. by Muhammed Quli Qutb Shah, this renowned tourist site is positioned strategically between two famous landmarks: Laad Bazaar to the west and the exquisitely decorated Mecca Mosque to the southwest. • Laad Bazaar, also known as Choodia Bazaar, is a historic market celebrated for its souvenirs, particularly bangles. It ranks among the oldest markets in Hyderabad and evokes memories of its vibrant past as a colorful bridal market. • This impressive 400-year-old structure can host up to 10,000 individuals. Enjoy the serene atmosphere near the water fountain, visit the solemn graves of former rulers in the first courtyard, and relax on the black benches beside the pond while watching the sunset. • Chowmahalla Palace is a remarkable artistic achievement, with elegantly designed features that mark it as the former meeting hall of the rulers. The picturesque landscape offers a lovely setting for photography, followed by a chance to relax amidst the ponds, trees, and greenery.
