We had an enjoyable experience. The crew was friendly, and we felt safe during our quick trip to the fishing spots. All 10 of us started catching fish immediately. The boat was nice, so I highly recommend it.
Our reservation mix-up was quickly resolved in a professional way upon arrival. Our guide, Carter, was fantastic with our group of five adults and four eager kids aged 12, 8, 5, and 5. He provided excellent support and encouragement, displaying a wealth of knowledge about the fish we caught, which numbered around 15. He also helped us pack up the fish for our meal at home. The boat was well-maintained, and the fishing gear was in excellent condition. Despite rough seas due to a recent hurricane, we had a successful and enjoyable trip. Highly recommend.
The experience was definitely worth the cost, even with the rough waves. I caught a bigger fish than my husband during my first fishing trip in years. Our guide was friendly and well-informed about the area, really taking the time to ensure we had what we needed.
The meet and greet was very easy. The captain was outstanding, and the experience exceeded our expectations. Everyone had a great time, and we were fortunate to have wonderful weather.
We enjoyed an amazing day on the water with Captain Jake. The seas were calm, and everyone was able to catch several fish, particularly Cod. Jake was very caring and shared plenty of information about fishing and the surrounding area. This was a fantastic experience, and I would certainly repeat it if I'm back in Halifax. It was the highlight of our trip.
I had a fantastic experience and even gave the young man a tip. However, I think the fishing gear could use a bit more attention, and some extra care during the setup for starting a drift would be helpful. Overall, I would rate it a C+.
This experience is a must for anyone! I had a fantastic time and caught numerous fish. Carter was a great guide, and the setup was simple and convenient. I will certainly participate again.
This was my second time in Halifax and my second time booking this fishing trip. It was incredibly enjoyable. The captain was fantastic, and we caught plenty of cod. The weather was perfect for September.
Everything was as promised. The weather was just right. Alex was very professional. A woman on board even caught a squid, which we released. We also caught cod and rockfish.
I had an excellent experience with the Sea Halifax fishing tour in September, with plenty of action on the water. Special thanks to Brandon for reaching out and moving me to an earlier 11 am tour when I was initially scheduled for 4 pm on September 8th, which freed up my afternoon. Johnathan was our knowledgeable fishing guide who expertly took us to the best spots for catching big fish. The boat provided all necessary gear, including rods, lures, and life jackets, so there was no need to bring your own tackle or get a fishing license as it was all included in the tour. We traveled about 20 minutes southwest from the Halifax Harbour, where we successfully caught both mackerel and cod. Although others started out catching mackerel, I was among the first to reel in larger cod. In total, I caught 4 mackerel and 4 cod, with my biggest catch weighing between 5 to 8 lbs. The fishing was primarily catch and release for the larger cod, while you could keep the smaller 1 to 2 lb mackerel if you chose. This excursion was mainly about sport fishing. A minor downside was that I felt seasick during the tour, which was not the fault of the service. I recommend eating well and taking some Gravol before heading out, as ocean waves are quite different from freshwater lakes. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Sea Halifax and highly recommend the two-hour fishing tour for anyone looking to catch some big fish.
