This was our first time kayaking, and we had an amazing experience with our guide, Nico. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. It was clear that he loves what he does, which made our trip even better.
We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day with calm weather, which couldn't have been better for our outing. The paddle to and from Cave Point was smooth and easy. Entering the cave was a fantastic experience that we absolutely loved.
We visited the area the night before and spoke with one of the guides, who was young yet knowledgeable. We decided to join the Cave Kayak tour the following morning at 8:30. Upon arrival, we were fitted for life vests and informed that the wind conditions made it unsafe to approach the caves. We had the option to return the next day, but since we were already there, we continued with the tour. After driving to the lake, the guide provided instructions on paddling and helped everyone into the tandem kayaks. There were about 12 of us in total. As we approached the caves, the conditions were indeed too rough to get close, but the view from the water was beautiful, and we even spotted an eagle by the shoreline. Our guide was friendly, took pictures of each group, and recommended The White Gull Inn for breakfast, where I enjoyed delicious apple pecan French toast. It was a very enjoyable morning.
Gordon proved to be an outstanding guide—he was humorous, informed, and incredibly patient with the group. He also shared recommendations for local dining and activities. I highly recommend both this activity and Gordon. I gave it 4 stars because we received a tandem kayak; I had expected individual kayaks for the $79 per person fee. There was no way to specify this online.
The trip was fantastic. We had opportunities to take breaks during the journey, and the timing was just right. Visiting Cave Point and exploring one of the caves was an exciting experience!

The kayaking adventure at Cave Point County Park was excellent. Our guide was professional and well-informed. After our original trip was canceled due to bad weather, the kayak company put in great effort to reschedule us. I especially loved paddling into the two small cave entrances. A truly memorable experience.
