You'll stop at the highest visitor centre in the US National Park system and enjoy a leisurely drive back down the highest continuous paved road, Trail Ridge Road, towards Estes Park. Pickup is available exclusively for those staying in Estes Park, or you can meet at the Estes Park Visitor Center garage.

I'm really pleased I chose this tour over driving myself. While I could have visited the main attractions alone, I would have missed the stunning scenery all the way to Alpine Visitor Center. Riley was an exceptional guide, sharing insights about the climate, wildlife, and trees, and he patiently answered all of my 12-year-old's questions. He frequently stopped for photos to ensure we experienced everything. We spotted numerous elk, a few deer, small animals, and even a moose. This tour delivered an incredible amount in just four hours. I highly recommend it for those who want to learn while enjoying the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Choosing Explore Estes for our private "Summer Rocky Mountain" tour was a fantastic decision. We wanted to relax and enjoy breathtaking views without worrying about driving, and we got just that. The private experience allowed us to stop whenever we wished to capture the stunning scenery. They pick you up from your accommodation, which is really convenient. Riley, our guide, was excellent, and the AWD Subaru provided a comfortable and safe journey. He was quick to spot wildlife, often before we did. It was incredible how fast he could set up the scope for us to see animals up close; he even found a moose for me just before it disappeared, while other tour groups were focused on the elk. This unique experience can't be matched by larger tours. Riley shared a wealth of knowledge about history and geology, along with entertaining stories, making our 5 ½ hour tour feel like only two hours. We truly enjoyed every moment with Riley. This was an excellent tour and truly worth the price. Three senior friends enjoyed a wealth of information, history, and fascinating stories. Riley had to adjust the itinerary due to snow closing the road, but he seamlessly led us to the alluvial site and Bear Lake, both of which featured stunning walks. We got an up-close look at a group of elk and made several stops at various viewing points. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains left us captivated, and we grew fond of our guide. I've already scheduled another tour for my family.
