Exploring the Bear Lake region of RMNP in a spacious open jeep was a delightful experience. We enjoyed three hours of relaxation while a naturalist provided insights. We were fortunate to see elk, mule deer, and turkeys.

It’s definitely worth your time to take a jeep tour if it’s your first visit. Be sure to arrive early for parking during the high season. Our tour guide, Nick, was relaxed and knowledgeable about everything in RMNP; he’s a local musician with a wealth of information about the parks. He tailored the experience to fit our family's needs, particularly helping with my mom’s minor altitude issues. With our timed-entry pass, we visited all the notable places, including the historic Stanley Hotel, Bear Lake, Sprague Lake, and Moraine Park Discovery, while enjoying sightings of local wildlife like moose, elk, deer, trout, and various birds. Nick proved to be a great steward for our National Parks, even picking up litter during our mini-hike. He rounded out our experience with a charming tour of Estes Park, sharing his favorite local spots.

I had a fantastic afternoon in the Rocky Mountains and came back immensely satisfied from this trip. We explored Bear Lake, Sprague Lake, and Moraine Park.
