We were a group of nine and faced time constraints due to our cruise ship's early departure. Eco Experience México was exceptionally accommodating, ensuring punctual pick-up and drop-off. The catamaran ride around the Lagoon was enjoyable, with fun swimming stops. Since our group adhered to kosher dietary restrictions, we had limited food options and didn't expect much. However, our guide Jhoana, who met us at the port, went above and beyond. She took it upon herself to research kosher food and bought snacks at the grocery store, also providing fresh fruit for our group to savor during the catamaran ride. Overall, it was a first-class experience thanks to the company and Jhoana. We were very impressed and highly recommend requesting her as your guide.
We took this tour with our family in December, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The entire process, from pickup to drop-off, went smoothly. Although there was a minor confusion with our meeting point at the port, the team quickly responded via WhatsApp and guided us in a few minutes, which did not impact our experience. Our guide, Nacho, was exceptional. Having lived in the U.S., his English was excellent, making communication easy for us. He shared fascinating details about Bacalar’s history, answered our questions with patience, and ensured the experience was enjoyable, safe, and highly professional. It was clear he truly loves his work. The lagoon is stunning, and our captain modified the route when the wind picked up, allowing us to enjoy each stop comfortably. We had ample time for swimming, relaxing, and appreciating the vibrant colors. All in all, it was an incredible experience. Nacho really enhanced the tour, and I highly recommend it.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Jhoana was an excellent host, and the lagoon was stunning. It was a fantastic choice for our family, which included kids aged 8 to 17, plus friends who joined us. Everyone had a wonderful time! Jhoana provided fresh pineapple and snacks, making the experience even more enjoyable.
While both the guide and driver were pleasant, the experience fell short. It took nearly 1.5 hours to reach a lake that didn’t match the photos. After an hour in the water, we had subpar tacos before facing another long ride back. I would recommend skipping this trip.
The location was pleasant, and the driver and guide were very friendly. The pineapple and drinks were excellent. However, I wished for more information and felt that improvements could be made for comfort.
Jhoanna greeted us precisely as she had said she would. The entire excursion was well organized, resulting in almost no waiting. Our drive was both engaging and informative. Jhoanna was incredibly kind, personable, and full of enthusiasm. She shared her knowledge during our tour of Mahuhal and Bacalar, and even took the time to stop at a local fruit stand to prepare fresh fruit for us. Despite the rain that day, her positive attitude lifted everyone's spirits.
The lagoon looked much more beautiful from a distance, and while the water was clear, snorkeling was underwhelming. The claim of seven colors feels exaggerated, though the clarity was evident. It was slightly chilly in January as well. Jhoana was an excellent host who made efforts to keep things enjoyable. I just would have preferred to know that the van ride took over an hour and that navigating through numerous potholes was less than pleasant.
Jhoana was an outstanding guide, ensuring a wonderful experience from the very beginning. She greeted us with a personalized sign, which created a welcoming atmosphere. Her engaging storytelling about local culture and sharing a bit of her own life made us feel comfortable. This excursion was exceptional from start to finish. Thank you for such a memorable day.
We arranged our tour for the day we were in port, with pickup right outside and timely return for our ship. JHOANA was an excellent guide, providing extensive insights about the area. We had a fantastic day with ample time to relax and swim. The air-conditioned transportation included beverages, and the meal provided was delightful. I strongly recommend this tour.
