Reviews
The food and service were excellent, and the lounge chairs were very comfortable. Don't miss out on trying the hammocks in the water.
The experience was incredible. Finding transportation to the resort from the cruise port was straightforward. The beach was peaceful and well-maintained, with water that was just the right depth. While a few boats passed by, it didn't disrupt our time. Jimena, our concierge, was wonderful and provided outstanding service. The food and drinks were delicious. For anyone seeking a nice beach during their port day, I highly recommend Nacional.
We had a wonderful experience and found the day enjoyable, though it could have been longer. Transportation from the cruise port was seamless, with hotel staff meeting us at the taxi drop-off, covering our taxi fare and guiding us to our beachside chairs. We quickly ordered food and drinks, both of which were exceptional. I visited with my two daughters, aged 12 and 15, and we received outstanding service. The massages were also wonderful.
Including the taxi fare in the ticket price was quite handy. Just make sure to know the required gratuity before departing. It felt justified due to the excellent service, numerous drinks, and an abundance of food, including lobster.
This quaint day-use beach club offered an enjoyable experience for my family and me. The food and drinks were superb, especially the grilled lobster, which I highly recommend. While the water and view could be better, we had a wonderful time overall.
It's important to confirm that you'll actually have a complete 8-hour experience. The food and service were excellent. However, the numerous vendors were somewhat overwhelming while we were trying to enjoy our time, and a few shops closed before we could visit them.
The food is excellent, and the beach is very comfortable. However, the pool is quite small. I plan to return here whenever I visit Costa Maya. Be prepared to encounter vendors trying to sell items.
The club experience was fantastic, with excellent service and food. The only downside was the cab ride back; the driver attempted to charge us for the fare, despite it being included in our resort package. When I confronted him, he claimed he had forgotten.
This excursion was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. Despite the setting's potential, the overall experience was frustrating throughout. The main problem was the relentless pressure from vendors. Even after buying items like jewelry and hair braiding, we were approached multiple times by different vendors selling the same things, as well as henna tattoos and fruit, which I thought was included. This made it very difficult to relax and enjoy the beach. Although advertised as all-inclusive, the service did not reflect that. It took nearly an hour for drinks to arrive, and when they did, they were watered down and unappealing. The food was equally disappointing; what we received was mediocre, and when we ordered lunch, it took over an hour to arrive, coming just as we needed to leave. Overall, the service was slow and inattentive, and the constant interruptions ruined what should have been a relaxing, premium experience. I can't recommend this excursion, especially if you want a true "VIP" or relaxing beach day.
The food and drinks were quite good, and everything tasted fresh. Our server was attentive but vanished for about an hour, leaving us to ask another waiter who told us he was on a lunch break. It would have been courteous for him to inform us and introduce us to whoever was covering for him. The vendors were persistent, but if you said no, they accepted it. This made it difficult to have a relaxed conversation without interruptions. On the topic of sargassum, the resort did well with the barrier system they installed, but the water was shallow—never deeper than waist level. Overall, I found the experience to be overpriced; for four people, we ended up spending just over $600, not including a tip. They even suggest a 20% gratuity when handing you the bill. Although we had a decent day, I wouldn’t recommend it.
