Our family thoroughly enjoyed the full-day rafting trip with AAE. The initial part of the day was a great introduction to rafting, but we really had a fantastic time navigating the rapids! The guides ensured we felt at ease and self-assured. Zach was incredibly knowledgeable and quickly assisted when some of our less active rowers fell out of the boat. Andy was a lot of fun and prioritized our safety; it was great to see his support for women. Thank you for a wonderful day!
If you're looking for an adventure, Numbers is absolutely worth it. The rapids are thrilling, especially the class IV ones. We opted for the full day, but the morning at Browns Canyon was calmer and offered beautiful views. If I had the chance, I would likely choose Numbers twice because it was so enjoyable. A special thanks to Zach for being there and making the day unforgettable!
Emma F. was fantastic! Despite joining the Arkansas swim team, I had a tremendous time. The rapids are serious, especially lookout for number 4! I appreciate how well Emma took care of all of us from Mountain Men in Tulsa during our visit to BV.
Emma F. was an exceptional guide during the tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The rest of the staff was also professional and outstanding, contributing to a fantastic experience.
Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our experience on The Numbers. Rye and Justin were excellent guides who kept us energized as we navigated the river. It was an incredible adventure.
This was an incredible experience. The guides skillfully navigated the rapids and offered clear instructions. The facilities were very tidy and well-organized. I highly recommend this adventure. Andy and Rye were our guides and made it a lot of fun.
Our family of eight, including kids aged 5 to 15 and adults, enjoyed two separate trips—one for the younger kids and the other for the older grandchildren and adults. Both excursions were a blast for all. The staff was very supportive, and our guides Sam, Derek, and Phoenix were excellent. This experience was a major highlight of our trip to Colorado.
Our experience was fantastic, thanks to Nasty Nate, our impressive and fearless captain. The weather was perfect, and the team at American Adventure was friendly, professional, safety-conscious, and well-informed about the river. We couldn't stop smiling the entire time. There were several level 3 rapids that provided just the right amount of thrill.
The experience was absolutely fantastic thanks to Sam and the team. Everything was meticulously organized, the equipment was of excellent quality, and lunch was perfect between rafting trips. The rafting itself was delightful, and Sam proved to be an exceptional guide. Thank you very much.
American Adventures is undoubtedly the top rafting company in Buena Vista. 1. They are incredibly organized, friendly, and true professionals on the river. 2. Make sure to request Captain Kirk as your guide. He is entertaining in his galaxy pajamas and has an incredible knack for navigating rapids. He exudes confidence, and his paddle skills are impressive—check out my photo of him playing guitar with it. 3. Kirk showed me an effective paddling technique: lean forward, dip, and then pull back explosively using your back. It made for a fun experience! 4. Spuds delivered a great pre-float briefing and brought a lot of humor to the session, especially with his “Grab the OS rope!” line. Tip them well; they truly deserve it. I'm looking forward to returning to Buena Vista and seeing everyone again.
