The staff impressed me by efficiently managing a complex check-in process while distributing gear with a positive attitude that made it enjoyable. Our guide, Shawn, was outstanding; his safety briefing was both informative and entertaining, which helped ease my son's nerves. We were lucky to have Shawn, who was like a blend of geologist, comedian, paramedic, and expert rafter. He kept us safe, engaged, and took care of all the boats and his crew at the same time. His skills amazed us, and we'll always remember him. I eagerly anticipate returning to see him again.
It was an amazing experience! The scenery was stunning, and our guide, Joey, was fantastic. We enjoyed white water rafting while he shared a wealth of historical knowledge and highlighted various features of the canyon. It was both educational and enjoyable. This rafting adventure was incredible and extremely enjoyable. My family joined the 8:30 am trip on the Arkansas River. The emphasis on safety and the friendliness of the guides put us at ease. Our instructor, Parker, was not only knowledgeable and patient but also great at handling all our questions and casual chats, plus he had fantastic hair and a cool beard. I fell out of the boat during a rapid, but everyone worked together to help me get back in, and Parker remained calm, communicating effectively even when things got a bit chaotic. Just two days prior, our daughters decided they wanted to try zip-lining, and I easily arranged that with AVA for after our rafting. We’re already planning our next trip back, hoping to have Parker as our guide again. Thank you, AVA, for such a wonderful experience.
This was an incredible experience for our family—parents, a 20-year-old, and a 14-year-old. The staff was professional and accommodating, but our guide, Keen, truly excelled. His extensive knowledge of rafting and the Arkansas River, along with sharing personal stories, added so much value to our adventure. We are eager to return and tackle a more challenging trip. What an incredible experience! The staff ensured we were fully equipped with personal flotation devices, optional splash jackets, wetsuits, and helmets. Our guide Katie was friendly and effectively explained the boat operations, along with safety tips and interesting narration about the sights and rocks as we navigated the river. The variety of rapids added to the thrill. We highly recommend this tour; it’s not to be missed.
A group of six family members, ranging from experienced to beginners, enjoyed a half-day rafting trip on the Arkansas River, guided by Cade. The scenic float through Browns Canyon was pleasantly uncrowded, featuring plenty of technical challenges with rocks and bumps. Despite the lower water level, we still had a fantastic time! The facilities, equipment, safety measures, and our guide all exceeded expectations — I would definitely recommend this adventure.
The cancellation and refund policy is problematic. We booked a 1:00pm trip but got stuck in Labor Day weekend traffic and informed them we would be 20 minutes late. They canceled our reservation without a refund. Despite a lengthy discussion with the Sales Manager, they merely offered us a zip-lining package for an additional $200, despite us already paying $400. The Sales Manager suggested we should've allowed extra time for the holiday weekend, but they never communicated this beforehand. We ended up tubing in Golden for much less. I advise others to consider this instead of dealing with this business's unfair practices.
