I recently enjoyed an incredible snowshoe tour with Wanderlust Tours in Bend, Oregon, and they certainly fulfilled their commitment to providing fun and unique outdoor experiences. Right from the beginning, our guides exuded joy and enthusiasm, which made the adventure both exciting and inviting. Their knowledge was impressive, extending into the rich history and charm of Bend. The snowshoe tour was truly memorable—like stepping into a scene from Narnia. The stunning landscapes and a strong emphasis on sustainability enhanced the experience. A break for hot cocoa and marshmallows while immersed in nature added a delightful touch. This tour not only increased my appreciation for the outdoors but also encouraged me to adopt sustainable practices when I get back home to South Carolina. I would rate this experience a perfect 10/10, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Bend. I look forward to returning, hopefully very soon.
My wife and I participated in the first "Soup and Shoe" event on January 18, 2025, and it was fantastic. We enjoyed the entire evening snowshoe tour, which was quite easy, with our guide Kristen providing valuable insights about the terrain, forests, constellations, and local wildlife at various stops. After a 30-minute walk, we reached a beautifully lit area in the snow, featuring a cozy seating arrangement with a fire to keep us warm. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the Wanderlust staff and served hot chocolate options. Chef Jackson, the owner of Lucky Woodsman in Sisters, was great and demonstrated a clear passion for food and nature. The four soups and homemade breads were delicious and abundant, and we capped the meal with tasty grilled cheese sandwiches. The night was truly special, especially when we were visited by two curious Rocky Mountain Red foxes just moments apart. I wholeheartedly recommend this Wanderlust experience and would gladly do it again. Cheers, David and Jennifer.
We had a wonderful snowshoe tour with Kristen. Luckily, it was snowing that day, providing us with fresh snow for our hike. The tour was well-organized, and Kristen was very knowledgeable about the area.
