We had an incredible half-day adventure with AJ, Artesia, and Cora. It was so much fun for our group, which included young kids (two seven-year-olds and a five-year-old), novice adults, and some who were more experienced with white water. My wife and I chose to use inflatable kayaks for a bit more excitement while the kids and less experienced adults enjoyed the raft. Everyone had an amazing time. This experience was the highlight of our two-week trip, and we highly recommend it.
It was an amazing experience. Mike and Josh were fantastic guides, well-versed in the history and scenery. They were wonderful people who provided exceptional experiences and made an effort to accommodate everyone.
My husband and I, both 77 years old, chose the Orange Torpedo's 6.5-mile half-day kayaking trip on the Rogue River, designed for inexperienced paddlers who can swim, and it was just right for us. Our adult son skillfully paddled ahead while I experienced some fun mishaps, including getting flipped over and towed against strong headwinds. Our guides, Edward, Rainy, and Tom, were truly exceptional. While entering the first Class II rapid, I hesitated and found myself sideways against a rock, but Edward was there to ensure I was okay. After tipping over again, Rainy assisted me back onto her kayak and helped me return to my own. The calm stretches of the river were beautiful, and I enjoyed watching peregrine falcons, though the headwinds made things challenging. Edward kindly towed me when needed, and after my third tumble from a rapid, Tom cheered for my "good swim" as he helped me recover my kayak. Rainy got us into wet suits to keep warm on the cool 61-degree day. For just $100 each, we had an unforgettable 2.5 hours of kayaking with attentive support from our friendly guides. It was an incredible value for a wonderful day.
We had a wonderful time rafting for the first time. The guides were excellent, lunch was delicious, and the views were stunning. Our afternoon on the Rogue River was truly enjoyable.
We had a fantastic day as a family. Be prepared to get wet; we jumped in a few times to refresh and floated next to the rafts. The lunch was enjoyable, the guides were excellent, and the length and skill level for the class I + II rapids were just right for us. Highly recommended.
Parker was an exceptional guide, displaying patience as he responded to all our inquiries, even repeating answers when needed. He made us feel secure during our first rafting adventure. His expertise, professionalism, humor, and kindness stood out. The trip provided an exciting thrill without being overwhelming. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone considering it and appreciate that the company caters to both beginners and experts.
The crew was fantastic. With just three of us on the raft, Sophie took charge of the oars, and she was excellent. Her lively personality enhanced the trip! It was around 100 degrees, so being on the water and getting splashed was just what we needed.
This was a fantastic three-day adventure. It was well-organized with a strong focus on safety, top-notch instruction, and impressive knowledge of the river. The storytelling was engaging, the food was wonderful, and the guide-to-guest ratio (5 guides for 13 guests) was excellent. I couldn’t be happier. Guides Mike, Tim, and Stitch were exceptional. The river itself was breathtaking and incredibly enjoyable. Thank you, Orange Torpedo, for an unforgettable experience.
Our guide was fantastic and shared numerous wonderful insights with us. He was very friendly and encouraged us to get out of the raft and swim. Daniel, you were great. I highly recommend this experience to anyone.
My father and I arranged a trip to explore the Rogue River, and we had a fantastic experience. Our guide, Caleb, shared extensive knowledge about the river and its history. I highly recommend OTRT and am excited to return next year.
